At Zophar's Domain, download both of the versions of TM, and then put the contents of both of the downloads into one folder. Start TM from that folder. It did the 0% thing for me before I did that. If that doesn't work, then I don't know.

But I think you have to edit some *.bin files, but which ones...I don't know

That happened to me once when i put three cheep-chomps on the same view.
Only the first one existed, the other two didnt exist at all (you couldnt see them and you could go through where they should be). But throwing a fireball there made it disappear... There was no way to get the three working. I had to delete the other two.

Maybe NSMB doesnt like some sprites duplicated, but i dont see that in your level...
Try to delete sprites. Try to mess around with the sprite sets...

and my other problem is, that when I want to play some of my levels, at the begin of the level, the view slides 2-3 boxes up or down immediately. It isn't really disturbing, but it looks really buggy.

Try to play with the Camera X and Camera Y options of the starting entrance...

no, using the camera x and y buttons doesn't solve the problem...
I experimented a bit with the block 2 (hex editor) and now I know how to solve the problem:
copy that code (hex editor) and paste it in block 2 (hex editor) of your level:
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 0F 00 00 00 00 00
don't copy the block 2 of 1-2 area 1 because then at the begin it looks a bit buggy^^

We're making it there slowly though. I believe Dirbaio was able to change some locations of objects, and textures of others, proving that it isn't impossible to edit the overworld.

The 5.2 editor will be able to edit the textures of most 3d models, including the overworld.

But paths/layouts/levels are impossible to change for now.
