Catching up to who is the question...and for what it's worth I offered leveling to anyone who wanted it.
Most people aren't wanting that, though. Only had Tyty's Budew raised quickly so far and that's about it.
Got Cubone up to Marowak and EV trained to where I want it (L10 -> L53) in a few hours today. I'm accomplished, I think. |

1.5x if you have Lucky Egg.
1.5x from a trade.
1.7x from a GTS, overseas trade.
Lucky Egg and trade bonus can be stacked.
Needless to say, leveling Tyty's Budew from L4 to L50 on 2.25x experience really wasn't that difficult. Hacking the saves is for wusses.

There is just one problem with both of those.
Lucky Egg: Good luck getting your hands on one. One of the rarest pokemons in the game have a random (very small) chance of having it on them on CAPTURE. V_v;
Trade: Traded pokemons tend to be an ass to carry around early on as you can't level them to far, making them often useless against half of the gym battles.
And yeah, you can trade one late game when the limit is high and/or none at all. But then you most likely have to grind it up from quite a low level anyway, saving no time at all. (Unless you trade with yourself, but not everyone is lucky enough to have two DS systems or someone who can help them. V_v
Not to mention that it's general bad design to include this sort of late game grinding in RPGs. You would want to grind on what gives you the most EXP, well there is a limited number of trainers that gives you high EXP, THOUGH LUCK, now go grind on wild low levels. (Hench why the best option is to spend all cash and grind on the e4 until you can beat it.)

Actually, if you have Pokemon XD, there's a guaranteed Lucky Egg in that game...but that's if you have XD. I mean, I love the game but I understand most of you lot likely don't have it  |

Lucky Egg is more easily obtained than you make it sound, however.
Wait for a day where there's a Chansey swarm (always a small pocket on Route 13). Use a Pokemon with Frisk to be lead (preferably Stantler). Go through random encounters there until you find one that has Lucky Egg on the Frisk. Now you can waste Love Balls here as well but I BELIEVE you can use Thief to grab the Lucky Egg after that point, provided you don't have an item being held. Chansey capture shouldn't be necessary but is recommended since it's a Chansey. |

 You can use this strategy to get Heart Scale(s) from Luvdisc, too. My best friend pointed out a trick to help out even more: put a fainted Butterfree at the front of your team. His compound eyes will increase the chance of the Pokémon having a held item by 30%.

I think my point should still stand that this should not be a necessarily to beat the game.
(RED is bonus boss, he does not count... but to be fair, he's much easier then lance is.)
