Actually, it shares that trait with some BASIC dialects.

Commodore BASIC, for one, allowed you to omit a closing quotation mark if it fell at the end of a line

I've always been more of a designer anyway, my coding tends to be sloppy until it breaks and I have to go back and fix it.

I was always more of a coder, never very good with designs or layouts of Web sites. Although I like designing video game levels

Also, my coding experience hasn't really advanced with technology, I'm still largely on the level of Commodore 64s and 128s and old DOS machines. It doesn't help that my CS degree classes (2005-2010, keep in mind) were mostly about making DOS programs.
