"A horrible person". That's what it says. "A horrible person."

We weren't even testing for that.

We really need some more mods or admins for the wiki, to prevent stuff like what is currently happening there.

I was honestly kind of concerned this shit might happen ever since the registration became open.

Probably not hard to get rid of the cunthole that thinks it's funny to pull it off though. That and it's easy to erase what this fellow did? That's why I love the Wiki model.

Well I guess we all learn from our mistakes.

But yeah, removing his contribs shouldn't be very hard to do.

We need more admins. Or at least set the registration to only be by approval.

because

Of course, approval-only = less new contributors. That's a very important point.

Note how all those new users only joined when public registration opened.

I'm not really sure what a good system of letting reliable people through would be, unfortunately. I mean, if we have the admin-approval registration, it cuts down on the use of people who actually have information. However, if we open it up to everyone, we're far more likely to get morons like this with vendettas and thinking they're actually making some kind of statement.

I tend to be pushed away from Web sites that require admin approval for registration, only because too many such admins only approve registrations once a month or so, or even stop approving them entirely and allow no more new members.

Of course, Xkeeper is unlikely to do those things IMO, but new wiki users might not know that and they could have been burned before on another Web site.

On the other hand, with Mega-Moron fucking up the pages, people might stay away from TCRF altogether. It's a tough call.

I'd say more admins would be good though, and if it doesn't work against the idiots, we can try admin approval for a while. Make sure that users can do that through the wiki and E-mail alone though, without needing a Jul account.

I think that people would quickly realize that someone just 'hacked the site' instead of thinking the site is all 'lol xkeeper sux', so I don't think permanently driving people away would happen.

Whatever we do though, I'm sure it'll be a good idea.

I'm gonna give it another hour or two though to let the little bastard think he's successful, then start reverting stuff back again when he's not looking.

Personally I'd also lean towards (if possible) a limit on edits within a specific timeframe

Oh yes. That would help immensely.

You don't usually need to edit that many times anyway.

Good point, though what to do about quick edits of say, maybe you posted something and then you forgot or made a goof on something?

Maybe it could be applied to just new users or relaxed for trusted users or something. Only reason I pitch this is because of a personal bad habit of constantly missing things in my first drafts, and I'm sure there's another person or two with that same problem?

I missed what went down but this is proof enough

I'm all for the no mega rewrites by new users,
make it so they can request more edits or something

I added Sanky and Rick as admins for being around. Probably should add Kassad if he wants it too.

And yeah, the lack of admins was something I was thinking about even a few days ago. Shows what procrastination can do to you, doesn't it?

I'm not closing registration in any way, mark my damned words. I absolutely refuse to let Mega Mario throw a wrench in this, and you should too.

Just so people know, I'm usually on like...a lot. If there's some weird-ass things happening around the wiki, gimme a heads-up and I'll go over and fix it.

I've added my MSN Messenger info now in case anyone needs to get in touch with me through that.

Thanks again, Xkeeper. =)

Just thought I'd point out that the little shitbug wasted about three hours vandalizing pages.

There are no appropriate words for how pathetic that is.

And how long did it take to revert them?
