That seems right...I recall making a 10,000 HP core surrounded by four 2,500 HP parts (or something similar), and the core exploded when the last part was destroyed.

That is very interesting...

Maybe I'll make something dedicated to that... but for now, I make something else.

Edit2: Another very interesting that I have learned. Aside from having to use negative numbers to delay the activation of a part, I learned that most parts have alternate movement/attack patterns. I have employed all of these tricks in a ship I call the Runner.

Edit3: As a few of you may have already heard, there appears to be some sort of damage cap on the whole "destroy child, damage parent" thing. Don't worry, though, it's up in the thousands. Even so, some of my vehicles might not work as exactly planned.

BeamCruiser Mk. 3
Specially designed by the intergalactic federation for large-scale war, the Beam Cruiser Mk. 3's main weapon consists of it's namesake, a large laser beam weapon. The cruiser also sports a multitude of vulcan turrets and power ball emitters. The forward core powers the front weapons and main turret, ad well as the armouring on the cruiser. The rear core powers additional weaponry, and the Main Cancer Core powers the inner hull of the cruiser.

Similar to the premade boss Bit Storm, but there's only four ships instead of eight; however, they're better equipped, and the main core is not exactly defenseless.

Amusing note: if I had gotten more sleep last night, I probably would've never thought of this.

Edit2: It began as a joke... but it turned out much better than I expected.

Bassically trying to make a decent danmaku boss, this one will fire waves of bullets in actually avoidable patterns and sometimes a laser. It still needs some fixes and stuff... Maybe I'll add some plates or another attack or whatever...

I think it's because you've built it upside-down. If you want the giant lazer to point towards the player, it should be pointing up in the editor, not down.

SHA-311-SRi Shiva Crown (bigcore2/43800)

The Shiva Crown was designed as a satellite cannon; its laser is meant to attack ground targets. Realizing that it lacked serious perimetric defense, several cross-vulcans and gun emplacements were placed on its ring so as to provide adequate firepower against enemy fighters, and a booster for quicker target chasing. Its biggest offense is in the rear, with its tentacles firing bullets everywhere and plasma rings with homing lasers taking care of the rest.

CP248 Pietrov Rotorkannon F-Series

The Pietrov Rotorkannon F-Series are rotating drones that hover in place and fire every which way. It is mostly used as a dispersion weapon. There are 4 different types of Rotorkannons:

-CP2481 Pietrov Rotorkannon F1: Consists of four "arms" each holding a Vulcan and a Cross-Vulcan in the center. Not really powerful, but it is cheap and mass-produced.

-CP2482 Pietrov Rotorkannon F2: Each of the arms now contains three Vulcans, and the center section has been reinforced with an array of bullets.

-CP2483 Pietrov Rotorkannon F3: The center section has now modified for dispersive fire; and the regular vulcans have been given greater range.

-CP2484 Pietrov Rotorkannon F4: All sections are now equipped with Spreader vulcans, and several homing lasers have been added into the mix. This is the model pictured above.

Because I have a mini-enemy to upload. Not a boss, but has enough pieces / numbers to be fightable in a good method.

Alright, thanks. I used files-upload.com instead of savefile.com, though. (Couldn't see the form) And here's the link...

The last time I checked, though...these things, not counting for part damage, have cores that cannot be hit by bullets. As far as I can tell, you'll need a blaster to defeat the core.

I don' think you can, since the stats (apart from health) are contained inside the part files and not the ship file AFAIK

You could try messing with the different Action/Movement settings, but other than that I don't think it's possible.



Also, I plan hope to make the Zeram-Class Cruiser soon.

Welp, I tried to see if I could figure out the format for Fraxy parts, but no go. first off that format is , and secondly the files have some sort of checksum on them. That's prettymuch what killed any chance I had of figureing out the format.
