It's anyone in Ontario (it varies by province in Canada) regardless of their citizenship. In Detroit, a lot of people aged 19 and 20 go to Windsor, Ontario, to drink and gamble.

I played the lottery as a kid too

It was scratch-off cards though. Older relatives would buy them, but often I'd scratch them off. Who got the winnings varied

Back in my day, they mostly had those Bingo ones and the "match 3 like amounts"-type things. Sometimes they'd spruce things up with matching images or having wild cards or whatever. Another common type was "If any of YOUR NUMBERS match LUCKY NUMBERS, win prize".

We had Tetris a few years ago. Lines = money. (Basically you scratched off the Tetrads that appeared in the box, and if lines were formed you were a winner.)

Bingo and crosswords are my favorites. :\
