I am not that great of a fan of any pokemon's design from GEN3 onwards. There are a few that I find cool, but all GEN3/4 evolved forms look horrible.

For some reasons I tend to start to hate people who use this argument. V_v;

Sure it's not exactly the same style, but they still try and go for the formula: X animal crosses with Y elemental. + Witty name related to it.

Some times the try and go away slightly from it for some more things but yeah...

The main reason I dislike any gen 4 pokemon is that all the pokemon sprites are ugly in D/P/Pt/HG/SS. (No, I'm not joking, they are all badly shaded, if you can even call them shaded at all.)


I mean, I can understand if you like the games in gen 1 and 2 over more recent games, at least there are good arguments going for that. (To some degree) But I really just get annoyed when people complain about recent design just because they grew up with the first two gens, or generally have some other non-related reason. :/

I'm not saying people have to like them all, I sure as hell don't. But just drawing a line and saying the never ones look shitty is a shitty argument. (At least I think so.)

I love how the grass one looks the best, and he just flat out knows that.

I imagine the fire type would have a good evo. Crossing fingers for a bulky, bipedal, fire pig!

I can't stand the Gen I games. They are terrible. They WERE awesome. They AGED like milk. Horrible balance issues, sub-par graphics, even for the time. ridden with glitches... It's only fun for me when I'm wearing nostalgia goggles. Even die hard fans can admit the ridiculous shortcomings of the original games. GSC accomplished everything that needed an overhaul for the series. Balance issues were fixed, there was a LOT more to do, it was simply better.

Still, Platinum and the HG/SS games were damn good. The gameplay is fantastic, and shit's just more fun for longer. Looking forward to catching them all... again... in Black and White

Hmm, I seem to have been misinformed. You seem so angry when you state the facts though.

Well, I -personalty- think the newer designs from gen 3 onward have not been his greatest work. Although there are a few nice designs among the newer ones... (smugleaf..)
