yes, I agree. But unfortunatly I know nothing about shape editing, nor Script Dumps. If this Mod where to be placed into the hands of a more expierienced hacker... It could be really cool

Hey guys, just thought I'd drop by to present my first Super Mario 64 level! It's a castle that was made in the style of Super Mario World's castles, and a mote that surrounds it; all of this within a small courtyard. There's not really a point to the level as there is no coins, stars, or anything really to collect, but it's still some nice eye-candy if you want to show off some screen shots or anything else you may be interested in.

Well, I've succesfully made my first Super Mario 64 level

It's called BlockLand and replaces Bob-Omb Battlefield.

Does anybody know how to solve the Red Coin Star glitch? It should be above the blue star, not below it. Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

The big question is: should I release a patch now, in a few levels, or when I've finished it?

EDIT: Can I add a poll in here? I want to know what people want, patch-wise.

The bug was caused by me leaving 100 empty objects right where Mario can run into them. They were completely deactivated (as in had no acts selected) but the fact that Mario could run through them seemed to trigger the 'Star Door' behaviour in all 100 objects, which is what caused the freeze.

Basically, I guessed, moved them and got lucky

A pun of the level "Throwback Galaxy" from Super Mario Galaxy 2
This is Part 1 of 3 of the series of videos I am going to release of this level at this stage of development. It still needs ALOT of work as at the moment their is;
No custom music
Rubbish textures
Few glitches
And a bit slow, it is not as slow as in the video as hypercan is what causing the game to run at a lower framrate.

Sorry it took so long to realese a video but at the moment i'm doing my final exams after that I got 8 weeks at doing nothing so I will finish it then.

It looks interesting, but what's with the random invisible walls? Are you using Death Floor or do you have the level boundaries as invisible walls?

I decided on not adding water and the game glitches up with the death floor off so I just left it on, also it makes it a challenge to players to get around insted of long jumping the whole level.
I added a new video on Youtube with mario going inside Vanilla Dome

Put the object for it above the ground, the object is where the star will spawn, but the blues star will remain on the ground.

Another vid of the water level, which I'm still thinking of a name (I'm thinking of using one of M. Bison names)
This is going to be improved, so suggestions of what kind of obstical's you think I should use in place of the ones in the video would be nice.
The bowser puzzle is a bit like the "where's waldo" books (but with mario and co) which you would have to track marios face, wait to the coins to apper, find the bit of the puzzle, wait untill thier is a hole and jump down to get the star, I realise would be hard as it is too complicated, I'm thinking of retexturing it with numbers in order and putting an simple equation in a text box so the user would know what bit of the puzzle to drop down and get the star.

Also I fell that I am kinda posting alot if videos on this board lately so I'm probabily going to stop as it is kinda spamming the board dispite it being on topic

Ok Jul, I need a tad bit of help from someone. When I import my maps they play fine, at least 95% of the time...

However, that same percentage can also be taken as how many times my maps work in Toad's Tool. Everytime I load a map in Toad's Tool, it's highly distorted and many textures are wrongly mapped. If I try and place something in the level, it doesn't appear in gameplay so that would also be another issue. Has anyone else dealt with this before?

Also, does anyone know how to get rid of the CIC Chip errors when loading a hacked rom?

I actually think its a pretty nice (definately interesting) hack, I would suggest putting some poles in there. Did you ever consider reskinning some of the obstacle/objects with that texture with all of the faces, like pherhaps the tipping platform. And so long as you are posting mods patches and staying on topic I think you should be able to post on the board as much as you wish, I enjoy viewing your hacks anyway. I dont really think its spamming.

I would suggest retexturing the platforms from Lethal Lava Land and using Thowps as platforms and enimes to deviate from the large masses of Goombas. Great hack so far, and I look forward to your progress.

Here is all of my Simplified SM64 textures if anyone needs them. Some of them haven't been used yet or even released in a patch yet. I'll probably start up again this summer.
