And the Talkboy as well, thanks to Home Alone 2 not sucking as a sequel.

Didn't go for Furbies but I did have a Yak Bak 2 and a Yak Backwards. The former was confiscated by a music teacher in sixth grade when we were all on a field trip and she told everyone to be quiet and I ended up pushing record during that and played it back to her hearing exactly what she said to everyone busting up laughing. Never got it back. The other was lost, probably to my sister at some point.

And I had a Talkboy that I used religiously. End of school happened one year when I was a kid and I was so happy that I started beating my bag on the concrete out of joy and retardation. I stopped about three slams in with the dumbest look on my face when I remembered what was in the bag.

That thing was good and smashed.

I still own a yak bak. In fact... It still has a recording I made of Arthur back in... 2nd grade? I'm surprised the battery has lasted so long...

Until today.

I remember those things back in the 90s... let's see if I can pull up a commercial for it on YouTube... (I'll edit this post if I can find one)

Edit: about 30 seconds in

I'd always scream into them.

One of the best toys I had back then

I remember we used to have a Furby. Still have it, in fact.

The first time my mom took out the batteries (because it would NOT shut up) I started crying because I thought it could actually feel pain. It was screaming "Hey!! No! No!! NO!! NO!!!" It was fairly traumatic, as a kid.

I also remember having a tamagotchi. One day I lost it, and was afraid it was going to die. I was so happy when I found it that I started crying.

I think I might have bonded a little too tightly to some of my toys as a kid...

Better than it malfunctioning and repeating the same alien word over and over again while the face mechanism going bonkers.

Tamagotchi... I had the very first one, and much later a digimon thing. The tamagotchi was bad becouse I started playing at midnight which kinda ruined the poor thing's biologic clock/sleep schedule... (though ironically now I have a similar one). The digimon thing... I think it was the third generation, with the cards and whatnot... it would count steps and beep randomly, kinda like the pokewalker but annoying and at a point you would die if you didn't sweep the card perfectly, even then I beat the game a few times and unlocked everything.
I swear I saw a pirate Kirby one and it was awesome.

What about a talking nano kitty? I found it in a box outside my patio shortly before I moved. The batteries in it were toasted but somehow I got it to work again.

Anyone else remember Sky Dancers? They were one of the most popular toys of the 1990s, even spawning an animated television series. =D

Even before that, there was Rainbow Brite... that came out around the time when I was born, IIRC...

I still have a Rainbow Brite doll. And a t-shirt, but I got that like three or four years ago.

That's why this was created.

That concept for the PC adding Hamachi in to the mix for flavor.

...I remember those things, oh lord.

I also remember being puzzled as all hell too when it died once after disciplining due to "circus fleas". Huh.
