The thing is, Fire/Water/Grass is the most basic element trio and the easiest to understand even for newcomers. Plus, it's tradition. I don't think they'll ever change from those three basic types, but they'll probably continue to play with it like they did in D/P by adding types to the higher evolutions.

They are also Fire Water Grass. Otherwise it's like playing rock paper scissors with uh... completely different things that take some time to understand the logic behind... but I am sure they'll have their secondary types mess around with this even further than in Sinnoh.

That was nothing new with D/P, they have been doing it since gen 1. The only exception is gen 2 where they stay the same for all stages.


And, I really don't care if the starters are the same set up, as long as they bring SOMETHING new to the game to mix things up. :/

I just hope the starters are as good as the gen 4 ones I've had. I've been rocking a Typhlosion and Torterra in SS and both are awesome. Also, say no to more Fire/Fighting starters please. Give use something different.what would be interesting is if the added type was one of the other starter types. Grass/Fire could happen somehow I'm sure.

At least Ice/Steel/Ground does work, even if Steel has like 10 resistances... they could counter that with a Ground-type gym for the first one, I guess...

But, please let the first gym in this generation be something other than Rock... it's been rock in 3 out of 4 generations. Maybe something like Grass for the first gym would be cool, since it'd put Water at a disadvantage early on...

Also, at least both the PCs don't look completely dumb. I can feel free to choose either one and not only one because the others hat looks dumb or some trivial reason I come up with. Even though her hair is going to take up all of my XL's screen.

   Oh... god...

The green thing is pretty cool, but the GIGANTIC EYE is so terrible I like it, though. I think its evolution's second type will be psychic, but I'm not sure here.
The pig is awesome but I HATE ITS FACE. Seriously! That's like, the most generic eye and mouth you can slap on anything! My tip for the evolutions' types is dark or ground.
The blue panda/koala/otter-thing is :<. Evolutions will probably be ice.

Girl: NOT IMPRESSED. Seriously, I swear they're getting worse every game.
Kris was awesome! I mean, blue hair and all! May was pretty cool, too! Leaf was a good comparison to Red. Dawn was pretty mediocre, but not bad. Soul (or Kotone or Idunno) is terrible, they should have kept Kris. And now this ? :/

Anyways. My opinions!
