I don't text. I'm often calling people with landlines that can't receive texts, and if I have to send them something in writing rather than spoken, I just use E-mail or IM, etc.

I'm actually the opposite. If I'm going to use a phone, it'll be for at least some sort of an attempt for a conversation. If it's with my mother, I can expect to be on the phone at least an hour if not two (mostly her talking but hey...it's my mother).

I'll not use a phone for texting or whatever else. I figure if I want that, there's a desktop in front of me that I'm typing on for such a purpose right now.

I have a crappy old LG phone from... 2007? Before that, it was a Kyocera from 2003... are they even around anymore? I haven't heard anything about Kyocera in years...

I want either a Droid or a BlackBerry if I do get a smartphone eventually...

Same. I think I got sand in my speaker or something, because I used to hear just fine. Now I constantly need people to repeat what they just said. Texting is much clearer, and you can go back to it ("Where were we meeting again? Right, side entrance to Phys/Chem at 2:30")

I do not like talking on phones at all. I'm quiet, and I have a high voice. Phones strip out the high frequencies to save bandwidth, and that's where most of the emotion is carried, so I end up sounding like a depressed robot.

I would just get rid of IE, but there's still a couple of things (namely, stuff relating to college loans) that are too stupid to make the switch to Firefox and still use Internet Exploder.

Not much I can do about it really but keep it around for emergencies.
