I am not a n00b at editing NSMB as I have been doing it for quite a while, I have just never been on any forums about it apart from this one... I was wondering how you can get the doors to work because I was really confused with how you did it... If you can help it will be most appreciated.

First of all, questions like these ones should go on the QUESTIONS thread. Not on their own thread.
You have to put an entrance at the bottom left corner of the door. (Tip: Shift+Drag the entrance to make it snap to an imaginary grid to place it correctly).
The entrance has to be a door type entrance.
Finally, you set the destination entrance, which will be another door entrance set up similarly, and it should work.

Just set the destination of door 2 to the location and entrance number of door 1.
