Thanks, that's the feel i'm trying to give it. I want it to feel less like a hack and more like a propper original N64 game.

I am using Blender. I like it because it is very custom, although a little harder then GS. I'm guessing you are mostly talking about the house textures, which i plan on fixing.

House textures didn't bother me, however the texture scaling and the way they are mapped most of the time is way too blocky, I can literally see each triangle. I am not sure how hard is texture mapping on Blender (is there a point and click feature like SketchUp?), but perhaps you try exporting your model, importing it into SketchUp and trying to assign textures there?

Yep that's the name of my new hack

after hours of thinking this is the final story... (similar to Silent Hill 4 The Room)

While Mario was sleeping in the castle, he became trapped into a nightmare...

He must find who is behind this, find an exit and within, a way to wake up, and rescue The Princess of Dreams!


The Music Will Be Disturbing, actually it will be in G-Major (if SM64 can handle it), and/or reversed...





This is the soundtrack, but the songs are not M64 files, yet.

I thought I realese this one level as It is too good to be ignored but too rubbish too be in my hack.
Is it ok for someone to post pictures of my hack as my internet is being a pain in a ass and I was lucky to even manage to get this PPF patch on the internet.

My first proper level which WILL be included in my hack will be ready to show in a week or two. It is a remake of the SMW map screen.

I don't think the background haze compliments the course much. Mostly because the trees and warp pipes aren't affected by it, and look out of place. It isn't that dense in the original levels, so any particular reason why it was changed?

I have already inported this into SM64 and added A few stars.

I am thinking of basing my hack on mario's past, in which he has to correct somthing in the past to complete the game. Ideas anyone?

Bowsersbane did I decent job on his hack, Luigi's Mission. It's very rough around the edges, but it has potential.

@Vinnyboiler; Maybe he has to capture and hide the various caps around the castle before his future self (or past self? ) can get those last dozen or so stars to completely restore the castle. In this hack, rather than stars, he finds pieces of cloth that must be stitched together to create the caps. Three levels, seven pieces of cloth in each one, something along those lines. Just a suggestion.

Thanks to the importer by Frauber I can make the SMW levels exactly how i want them...
This is the Donut Plains section of the Overworld...and also the Valley of Bowser entrance

In all seriousness, this is the beginning of an as yet untitled SM64 hack. I'm still working on the specific design of the area, and am probably going to change it considerably from its present design, aside from the design of the lighthouse itself, that will remain as it is.

You could probably make the light house look better by changing the texture to something with less stripes, but that's just forced opinion. A nice hill leading to a spiral path to the top of a plateau would be a nice level design, but this looks like the Hub world, so I don't know.
