Who's doing what?

Already got both my stepmother and mother taken care of (flowers/chocolates/card, different for each because one likes something that the other doesn't; also have Sunday with stepmother/step-grandmother to attend).

Anyone doing something special?

I didn't have much money, so I could only get her a card. I bought it today and posted it. I'm also going to call her up on Sunday. Not much else.

My mom will be in Italy for Mom's Day.

Often I make my own cards with funny stuff in them rather than buying them at the store.

Admittedly I'm on a steep scenario on the two mothers I have. One has a birthday on 4/20 and the other 4/24. 5/9 being Mother's Day. Yea. Can't afford all that separately.

So I basically put it all together into what I can do on Mother's Day and go from there.

Given my mother is ~3000km away and I'm not exactly rolling in dough, there's not much I can do besides call. But she'll appreciate that. We've always got along very well, and she wouldn't expect anything more.

Cards for them all, and maybe take them all to dinner (my wife, my mother, and mother in law). I can't think of much else to get them that would be useful. My wife doesn't like jewelry, my mother in law likes it but her tastes are too expensive for me, and my mom loves bears but already has a billion of them.

After being estranged for years (mainly because I was being a self-absorbed asshole), I'm on good terms with my mom and will be doing something for mother's day for the first time since I was like, ten. I might resort to flowers and a hand-made card, but I want to be more thoughtful than that. I gotta figure out something that'll lift her spirits, she's been having a rough time lately.
She puts together jigsaw puzzles to pass time. I don't want to give her a puzzle, but maybe I should come up with some sort of addictive time-waster.

I've been thinking about it, but there's not much I could do. Last year, we just got her a few small things like a card and a little stuffed bear.

I'll still be thinking about it, but I might just have to settle with a card if I can't come up with anything.

I have to work that day but I get off at 2:30. My guess we'll head over to the in-laws shortly after.

Last year work was very busy and people were waiting in live for four hours. At a buffet. In a casino. Wow, can't you take her somewhere else?

Debating if I should call my own mom. I haven't talked to her nor seen her since 1997.
