EDIT: Goddammit X, fix Opera with thread titling. Thread title is 'Touch screen + Graphing Calculator ='.

TI-Nspire.

All I can think of is apps that will get passed around in college off one of these.

And that it'll still cost as much in 15 years as it does now, because they're in bed with the school systems. This one even has accessories!

(WTF happened to the title?)

I have a TI-83 Plus from high school... although it needs a new coin-cell battery, probably... (hasn't been used in years, so both batteries are most certainly dead by now... =/)

I also have an old cheap Datexx scientific calculator, I think I bought that at Price Chopper or something for $10. (still works great today, I've put it to use on some occasions)

I've got a TI-89 and it's perfect for what I have to do in college. i don't need word processing and stuff like that, I have a computer. plus the huge price that i didn't spend time looking for on the page is a definite turn off I'm sure.

Actually, I'm surprised there don't seem to be cheap Chinese TI-8x clones all over the place. The damn thing runs a Z80; you could probably throw together a more powerful calculator out of spare parts in your closet these days. There's got to be a market for clones that look and function like the real thing. Maybe TI just squashes them quickly.

My TI-89 Platinum still has juice and works okay. Pretty sure it still has a nice amount of apps that I've slipped on it too.
