Got about another month to go.

Looks like Nintendo's teasing a world exclusive. Even Pac-Man is getting big mentions.

World exclusive meaning what? New Star Fox? Pikmin 3 official announcement? Kirby? Or simply Wii Sports 3? All the big titles are already known, and the article says it's a game, not a system, so that rules out the 3DS. Well, looks like one to possibly look forward to. It could be something entirely out of the blue, look what Other M did last year.

Donkey Kong Country Wii!

I wish, but who knows. They'll need an Ace up their sleeve to keep attention on them during E3. Wish I could go, but from what I've heard its still not the huge gaming bash of yesteryear. Those would have been fun to go to.

An innovative and completely new title would be a plus for them.

Odds of that happening: Nil.

Isn't that what they tried to do with Wii Music? That was a big flop. I think they should stick to innovative remakes and ports that everyone loves.

I'm just saying, in my eyes, that's all Nintendo is anymore. Rehash central. Nothing new to show here.

Strong reason I didn't buy a Wii.

Even though they're rehashes, they still are better than most of the stuff on the Wii and usually well made and fun too. That's why I've always stuck with Nintendo, though I'll definitely agree that I'd love something new from them.

Mario Kart, Zelda, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid. All rehashes but popular and still more fun on the Wii than previous versions on older systems.

Guess it wasn't completely new but it was interesting for the bit that I played it on Wii.

I'm mostly curious how the Portal 2 ARG is going to continue, myself.

Don't forget Punch-Out for Wii. Seriously, who used the motion controls? Wiimote sideways = NES controller = perfect controls. Proof that you don't need to change a winning formula.

Nintendo Power via Kotaku:

""In addition to an exclusive cover story on a huge new title, we'll bring you first looks of half a dozen incredible games, including de Blob 2 and an astonishing title that stars one of gaming's most recognizable heroes."

...So that's *two* games (the cover story and the other one), right?

Guessing Zelda and... I'm going out on a major limb here... Kid Icarus.

Nearly 3 million units sold is a big flop? Are you on crack

I guess I couldn't say big flop, but it didn't go over well with critics (which isn't that important). And compared to the games it was trying to compete with, it didn't do nearly as well. Guitar Hero and Rock Band continued to sell strong even through multiple sequels. Combined, the Guitar Hero series is over 10 million units and still going. Rock band is well over 5 million by what I could see and that was as of early last year.

So is it a big flop? No. Was it as big as they hoped, not really. So just a minor flop to the extent that we won't be seeing a Wii Music 2.

I really don't think Wii Music was trying to compete with anything, at least not Guitar Hero and Rockband. Wii Music is all about having fun arranging music however you like instead of copying button patterns onscreen.

I'm really looking forward to whatever this announcement is.

Sure its comparing apples to oranges, but their both fruit. While it wasn't meant to be competition for Guitar Hero or Rockband style play, its a rhythm/music game and therefor in the same genre. Compared to other games in that genre, it didn't do as well. Enough about old games though, lets talk about new ones!

New F-Zero and Twisted Metal are great ideas, but I doubt we'll see either of them. I still want to see a new Donkey Kong Country game.

Remember that Warhammer 40K game? Yea? No?

Well, it's going to debut at E3 after years of cover up.
