Amen, sir. Amen. I completely agree. Horrible movies are better to watch in groups so you can share the pain
Another horrible movie: Terror Toons |

I think I mentioned this in another topic, but that movie gave me one of the worst nightmares I'd had in years. I still shudder when I think about it to this day.
Like Anya, I worked in a movie theater when it was playing, but I saw most of it in bits and pieces as I was doing my theater checks, rather than all at once. That was bad enough.

 | Pretty much everything the Nostalgia Critic has ever reviewed, although, I actually like some stuff such as the Super Mario Bros movie, Space Jam, Ferngully, and everything on Nickelodeon. Good Burger completely sucks donkey balls though and needs to die in a fire. I also still kind of like Captain Planet for whatever reason despite it being obviously god awful. Plus, Linkara's reviews are amazingly getting me obsessed with Power Rangers again which I didn't think was possible, especially after the catastrophe that was Turbo *shudders*.

You know, I don't give a shit about what That Guy With the Glasses says, Space Jam was awesome! That was a big part of my movie childhood and I will cling to it for dear life. |

SMB movie = Kick ass
Even if it is loosely based off the game (especially characters), i always liked it. well, even if it was just LOL, but it is always funny to watch =)
And Space Jam... that kicks ass, who cares about the opinion of "experts"????
Well, another one:
Howard the duck:
Even if it is one of the movies considered the worst, it was fun to watch, imo: an inespressive duck who lives adventures and risks to die on battles against monsters (the horrible monsters): it is just LOL.

 | Oh yeah, Space Jam, Independence Day, and the Super Mario Bros movie are some of my all time favorite films, even if they are mostly due to nostalgia. Heck I still rock out to the soundtracks . NC's still pretty entertaining though, even if I don't always agree with what he says. I mean how could anyone not like Nickelodeon's Doug? That is the best kid's show ever! I mean, I can understand hating the butchered piece of crap of a show that Disney turned it into, but the original is a classic, and IMO kicked far more ass than both Rugrats and Ren and Stimpy.

| Just for the record, the person who plays the Nostalgia Critic doesn't typically hate what he reviews as much as his character would lead you to believe. After all, it's more amusing if he acts furious over what he's watching instead of just acting mildly displeased, right? |

 | Well yeah I know its an act. Nostalgia Critic is a character just like AVGN and just about everybody else who does this stuff. However, the movies I mentioned above are all movies that I like, and NC legitimately can't stand in real life. Doug in particular is a show he detests, as he never cared much for the old nicktoons anyway, and since his name is actually Doug, he has a lot of bad memories associated with it. He also thinks that Space Jam is nothing but a disgrace to Looney Toons full of bad acting rehashed in a blatant attempt to advertise and be "edgy". Frankly, I see where he's coming from, but I like it anyway since I never got that vibe as a kid and just thought it was cool. Plus its still entertaining to watch even today.

Pretty much anything by M. Night Shyamalan.
Seriously. The Sixth Sense was really not that good a movie. I didn't like Signs either. The slow pacing is maddening and neither movie was believable, at least to me.
Then there's the absolute garbage like Unbreakable and The Village, and then The Happening ... ugh. I wish this guy would just give up.
I watch them sometimes in retrospect to point out obvious things that were just bad ideas. It's fun sometimes to just completely tear into these things and show how awful they are.

 | Oh God, I forgot about M. Night Shyamalan. Yeah I actually figured out the "huge twist" in the Sixth Sense in freaking middle school just from somebody giving me a quick synopsis. Once they told me, "oh yeah, and it has a twist ending" that was all I needed to deduce what it was given what little plot I knew. All of his movies are long and boring as hell. Some of them, like "Lady in the Water" seem like they are trying to make a point, but shit if I know what it is, and it just comes off as stupid. Actually Lady in the Water is the only movie by him that I've seen in full. It was interesting? sort of, but still had that signature Shyamalan "why am I watching this?" crap factor. For his other films, I've just seen various tidbits, but they were enough to get me completely bored and lose all interest in the rest of the film, especially when its usually over 3 hours of nothing building up to a lackluster twist that isn't even worth it.
