The best thrills in life are the ones when you have under 100 pseudo-seconds left

I think I've only pulled off ~700 words once, during a blogging period (yes, blogging) for my english class. Shit got intense, man.

I was able to do a term project in ~5 hours. Powerpoint presentation, argument reconstruction, and 3 page critical analysis.

It could have gone better. Especially the presentation part. Kinda hard to bs your way through that.

This was just about every paper I had to do in high school... just about every project for that matter. I would always wait to the last possible day or even hour to get my projects done. I did find that my best work was when I only had 1 night to put it all together. If I tried to do it spread out in the given time frame... it wasn't as good.

I tend to write papers the day they're due or the night before, depending on how early I have to go to school the next day.

I have a physics final tomorrow I should be preparing for, and I've mostly been in IRC and such.

Exactly this

When I actually did work 3-4 days before it was due (papers, lab reports, etc) I would get a grade or two lower than if I did it, say, 2 or 3 AM the on that day.

Maybe that's why I'm on jul right now instead of studying for finals...

I usually try to get things done at least a few days earlier than the due date. It never ends up that way; and I do it on the last possible moment. Always did it in high school, and I'm still doing it now (Unfortunately I definitely need to stop... ) with Programming projects. I'll have to say programming a graphical vehicle simulator in one day was not really fun.

I'll do things when I have only half as much time as I had when the assignment was given. I find this to be much better than the last minute stuff I foist, mainly because I tend to get a good grade either way.

I've had one of those 5000 word things that I got done within the span of a day.

Needless to say there was a lot of plagiarizing going on using the Internet to accomplish the task.

I don't have a problem writing 5000 words or anything but the topic sucked donkey balls.

I like doing everything the day before it's due, when it's not programming.

But sometimes it can get pretty bad... so it's sort of a tradeoff.

Programming is a different set of rules entirely. You really can't procrastinate too much on that because it can turn out to be a pain in the ass all of a sudden given the complexity of the project.

Especially if it's one of those that would takes you weeks or months anyways.

I was thinking the same thing... Is it a class on your iPhone or a class about iPhones??? Is this like that course where all you did was play WoW and analyze your grouping experience?

Not sure what is worse:

Taking an iPhone class

or

Taking a bowling class in college

Really? I was actually considering doing it, because there's a million tiny startups and it seems easy. What makes it ?

Of course I'm not studying for finals, or writing my paper. I've got this.
