Paulguy's Post configuration What's the issue with Windows and capture cards? Why so incompatible? This is like, the one place where linux does better in compatibility (as long as it's not something terribly new). You always have awful incompatibility and you always have to use some really shitty bundled software or else you don't get video or don't get audio or just doesn't work/get detected at all. ____________________ |

| EasyCap's a bit cheap.
I've been pondering getting a Hauppauge HD PVR 1212 for a while now, however. It's been the one of choice by a lot of LPers (most notably MasterLL) and it seems to have very good quality overall. Bad thing is that it will set you back about 200 bucks for it. |

| Hiryuu: last thing I've bought would be the HD-PVR.
The quality ridiculously great. Seriously. |

| That's pretty much going to get me back into the swing of things this summer then if I can get some time to go through and do it. It'd be a fun experiment with the PS3, if nothing else...
...that and to make it non-suck so as it doesn't look like every LP on the face of the planet that's just a playthrough...or playthrough worthy of Retsuprae. |

Paulguy's Post configuration I also have a Hauppauge HD PVR and can agree that it looks very nice. I have my directv box connected to it and use it to watch and sometimes record TV. ____________________ |

EDIT: Aera, yea...that was the big downer but then all of them are kind of lacking in the HDCP department for 200 or less. If I had something that decrypted it, I'd by myself a new computer. |

Paulguy's Post configuration Well my classic controller pro and adapter came in and I have to say it's great. Everything that's good about a ps1 pad and everything that's good about a snes pad combined. It's also black. It also seems to work better than my old one... More responsive. The buttons are nice and clicky and not mushy and the dpad is much more responsive. I think my old adapter also had some lag because it seems like stuff is actually more in control with this new one. ____________________ |

Hard-limited to where you can only press certain key combinations at once and I've never been able to find a software fix for something like that. I assumed it was all keyboard. |
