It's true because an internal GameStop memo chastised everyone regarding those leaks. And Nintendo's pissed about the leak too.

My guess is that they officially announce it tomorrow or Friday since the cat's out of the bag now.

I would love to have a black one (to match my Ps3 and XB360) but the Wii is in the other room and unplugged, so I'm not even going to waste the money on a black one.

On a hilarious note, GameStop isn't too happy about the leak info on the black Wii.

As you know, there is a lot of rumor and speculation about various new products and titles launching this year. One of these is the Black Wii. Various blogs and internet sites are raising awareness about this product. Gamestop stores and associates should not proliferate these rumors. Today, you received POP for your windows regarding the Black Wii. Somehow, a picture of this appeared on the internet. It may seem cool to be in the know and feel compelled to share something like this. Nothing can be further from the truth. All activity like this does is hurt our reputation with publishers and manufacturers and potentially hurts our company. Until Nintendo decides to announce THEIR product, there should be no discussion of it with customers, period. If they ask, “It’s not appropriate to comment on speculation and rumor” should be the answer. The POP should be secured in the back room and left there until further notice. ANY violation of these will be treated with the most aggressive consequences. I believe strongly in the field organization, but I am as disappointed as I have been in my tenure here in how we are handling this. I am trusting that your professionalism will result in no further issues.

Magical Drop II slated for VC next month.

I think it'd be a lot better if III was there but hey...still a good one.

Nintendo confirmed the Black Wii bundle today; it hits May 9. Regular White Wii's will also get Wii Sports Resort and a MotionPlus packed in as well.

Today's releases...

Zombie Panic in Wonderland (Akaoni Studio, WiiWare, 1000)
Kung Fu Funk: Everybody is Kung Fu Fighting! (Stickmen Studios, WiiWare, 500)

I know the first one might be OK based on the European reviews. The second... oh dear.

FILTERS.

Good for Nintendo to announce Wii Party before E3 so that they don't disappoint people.

Considering they haven't had one in 3 years, I'd say yes.

Man I miss Mario Party 1.

I have recently been hacking the wii homebrew channel and there is so many damn errors I get it to work maybe once of five times. So I decided I would rather put in a couple bucks and just get wii virtual console. so I cant get the Wii-Fi to work, it just says no access found! so I grab the phone and call up Nintendo myself. After dealing with phone-bots for 5 fucking minutes I get a hold of a representative to find out Wiis dont support wireless air cards what a waste of time right? so I go to gamestop and purchess a wireless adapter for the Wii. with my extended ear-to-ear grin I unpackage the adapter to make the horrifying discovery that the damn gamestop clerk "accidently" gave me a LAN adapter that requires a cat 5 network cable ( whatever the holy fuck that is ). to make matters worse, almost the whole manual was in spanish!****WTF****so I am thinking maybe I was better off using homebrew? Any suggestions to get homebrew running up to snuff? also does anyone know a nice homebrew NES emulator and where I can download it?

I hope I entertain you all, with my little fit of rage

Um... go to wiibrew.org, seriously.

VC gets screwed over again. WiiWare releases this week look better than last week's, to be honest... at least the new chess game has WFC support.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations (Capcom, WiiWare, 1000)
Chess Challenge! (Digital Leisure, WiiWare, 500)

Oh man, I do not miss the blisters from that game. I used to take joystick and put it in the center of my palm to spin it for that damn fishing game. Thank god for Wii motion control now. Its tiring, but no blisters!

That's the only thing I don't like about it but other than that I felt it was the strongest and most pure of the series. There were no items to give easy last-minute upsets and stuff, no capsules to trap opponents with, etc. Those were fun yes, but I think that Mario Party was at its most fun in the first game where all you had was the dice block and the random ones on occasion.

I am in a small disagreement with that statement, I think that MP2 was a [trope]EvenBetterSequel[/trope]. It added costumes for each board, the ability to buy and use items, the battle mini game space, got rid of that kart racing mini game, and it added dueling mini games. I was a bigger fan of the boards in MP2, each had their own tricks and themes.

They also kept most of the best mini games except the 4 player co-op ones. (I miss those sometimes..)

Yes. MP2 is the best Mario Party, end of discussion.

I STILL don't have everything unlocked though because of the minigame coaster. I suck at the claw pick up game :<

My favorites are tied between MP1 and MP2, but I definitely agree. This is also how I feel about the Mario Kart series. The more luck-based it gets, the less engaging it becomes. I understand that Nintendo is trying to keep these games fun for anybody who picks them up, but they lost a sense of balance in the process.

You... Don't know what Cat 5 cable is? It's... Network cable. Not exactly rocket science there.

Whole post is kinda Facepalm worthy, honestly. Especially considering how easy and well-explained most Wii homebrew is. Go if you're having that much of an issue.

you dont understand my point, Its not that I dont know how to work wii homebrew, I have it working. Its just there is constant errors because a currupted file. Its not me or my lack of knowledge. Its a bad download. Plus the whole post was just supposed to be kind of dry humor. I was half serious 90% of the time
