Spam is one of those "Generic meat-like substance" things, which gets it a lot of trash talking, but when you have little else...

It's really not as bad as most people like to make it out as. Cooked well (or even microwaved) and thrown on a sandwich or with some eggs or something and it can make for a pretty decent meal.

I agree wholeheartedly. Frying up some spam and eggs, and making a sandwich out of it is honestly one of my favorite breakfast foods of all time. (Taylor Pork Roll being my absolute favorite)

When you fry it up, it gets a certain consistency where the outer part of it is crispy, but the inner is kinda soft. If you cut it real thin, the whole thing becomes crispy. It's really tasty in my opinion.

As to what it tastes like, it's kinda like salty ham. It tastes a lot better than you'd think.
