I like to throw some change in the change cup and some on the cluttered desk so that when I really need some cash I've got like $30 waiting for me when I clean it up!

I usually prank call people on payphones. I should record myself doing those sometime.

If only I knew how...

For few loose change, well, i would buy simple things like pencils or use a distributor if i am hungry and i don't have anything to eat. Heh, i just go to the bank only if i have 3000 eurs (or dollars for some of you), lol.

Save it a while, then take it to a bank to get bills. Hell, I tend to convert stray $1 bills to change just so there's less chance of it being taken from me for whatever reason.

Fuck Coinstar and the like. I'm not giving up ten dollars of my money just to convert it.

Save it. Don't know when it'll come up to be a fairly significant amount, but it'll be great when that happens. Just you wait.

Also, I've been wondering what would happen if I set up a donation fund for my extra college expenses where people can pay just a penny. I think that's how one kid did it.

1, 5, 10 go in a jar. 25 and up get blown in the vending machines and laundry.

I deposit it into various nooks and crannies in my room via a distributed-accident system.

For the small subset of things that actually doesn't meet this fate, it goes into a general purpose change bowl on my desk.

TD Bank does it for free... But TD is mainly in the eastern US.

I keep all of it on an end table until a spendable amount gets saved up.

On a side note, I don't pick up pennies. Heads or tails. And I don't normally keep pennies when I get them back as change. There's a reason for it, but nothing I want to talk about right now. Just enjoy another FunFact about darthbobby.

I just contributed 67 cents to my sons' car funds! I rarely ever use cash so I don't get much change, but it will rack up.

I had used some change earlier that had actually came in handy, I didn't have any dollar bills, but I did have coins, how amazing is that?

But yeah, saving coins is too easy if your getting lots of pocket change, best to put it all into some kind of a jar, for sure.

That's actually exactly where I take it. I tend to count it first, though, and get change purses if I was accurate enough.

I curse cashiers with my exact change when I'm low on money.

As for swallowing metal objects, at age 5 I drank head and shoulders shampoo. I still remember the taste.

Certain artificially flavored 'blue' ice cream tastes just like it!

I usually hoard my loose change, there's a couple of piles around my room and a huge jar of it back at home. I also found a rather large deposit of coins in my backpack the other day which has probably been there since sometime in high school.

On a day that I could actually use quarters, I didn't have any on me, ended up depositing them into my bank account a few days prior to the day I needed the darn coins. Oh how stupid I must be for doing that.
