Its nice coming to Jul and seeing a lot of the people I knew from I1. I notice how most of us have matured (obviously) over the years but still love to be fun and spontaneous when posting. It almost makes you feel like a kid again.

I remember when Acmlm board first opened. I had the highest post count for almost an entire day, then Acmlm went in to overdrive and never stopped for as long as I was there. The very first incarnation of the board was stored in text files and got slow real fast. Then Acmlm converted it to mysql and things were zippy again as we posted to our hearts content.

The main thing I remember was
that I used to post like this.
Making a new line every so
often just so my posts were
a certain width. I don't even
remember why I did it, lol.

I think it was just a bit wider than that, but it was just one of those things that I did. Then I got more involved in my own website (FFAlexandria) and my posting on I1 dwindled. I checked in from time to time through I2 but never posted much. Now I'm here, kicking it with you guys and enjoying every post!

Perhaps you thought that
your posts might end up
being used in a video game
of some kind one day, and
kept your posts to a low

in handy for low resolution
netbooks, such as the one
I'm using right now, since
typing like this would allow
me to resize my window to
see some other stuff too,
but then again I could
probably just resize my
browser window anyways.

Edit: I just also wanted to add that I remember the good old days on Acmlm's Board where people didn't really make fun of others, kind of like the way this day and age is, if you know what I mean...

Jul seems mostly friendly to me, other than the occasional dramasplosions. Still, especially compared to I2 which I thought was pretty hostile of an environment

My E-mail (Gmail) automatically puts a fuckload of line breaks into my E-mails, so I end up sending E-mails like Orlandu's old style unintentionally

I think an easy solution would be to parse every word as a separate image. That'd be a lot of work and images, though.

I don't feel reassured about the friendliness, then again maybe I'm just paranoid and just getting too old for my own good.

Maybe I'm just spewing nonsense or something, I still miss the good old days of the original Acmlm's Board, before the I2 era began after I left the original Acmlm's Board.

Now you make me want to try just to see if I can do it, lol. I'll have to see if one PHP file can export multiple images. Then I have to make it create a new image for each space or punctuation character... Should be fun.
