Sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but I happen to be straight and I don't think that's ever gonna change.

Edit: I also wanted to add that I don't think a relationship is in my future, I don't think I am meant to be the type of person that gets together with a girl, I'm definitely doomed to be single for the rest of my life, for sure.

My dad still doesn't know that I'm LGBT. Maybe I'll never have to tell him, or at least wait until I've moved far away first.

So yeah, family can be troublesome. Everyone else in my family is, as Colin said, straight as an arrow. I'm the black sheep.

Neither does my dad. I was expecting mom to be cool with it and it was a total chaos, worse thing I have ever done. Dad ... he'll find out some time in the future, perhaps once I'm living in Europe.

My mom's cool with it, but it took months. I was expecting total parental rejection so I'm glad that at least my mom still accepts me for who I am.

Yeah, my dad didn't even want me to be friends with a lesbian online

He went to Catholic school in Detroit and spent most of his adult life in the US Armed Forces, so maybe he didn't know any out LGBT people. I didn't know any until I joined Acmlm's.

I don't think my parents would of been comfortable with who I was if I were any other sexual orientation, infact they would only be disgusted with me if I were something other than straight.

This is me exactly right now. I'm definitely attracted to guys, but I've never had any luck in the relationship department, and that doesn't look likely to change. Hopefully I'm wrong, but at this point I'm pretty much expecting to be single until I die.

As made evident by some of my other posts, I'm straight and married with kids. I could almost be considered metro because I use lotion and face wash, but thats only because I have dry skin and I can't stand my hands being dry. But I like me my woman.

Kind of wish I didn't live so far away either, living in Connecticut can get quite old as there are tons of old people here, barely any young people here and I'm only 25. I really hope I won't have to stay single for the rest of my life, but me being single is probably inevitable.

Thanks. It went fine. It wasn't really a secret, but nobody wanted to acknowledge it, least of all myself.

I admire everyone who's fine with being single. I don't feel like a whole person unless I have a significant other, no matter how damaging the relationship actually is.
