Now that I finally figured out how to properly use a custom png file for a font (like the stats image and Milly's stats stuff), I will be making some changes to my layout. Just a stats addition. I have to make the FFT character stats layout when I get home, but here is a sample of the text in action:



So now I just have to combine that with a image php file to put all the item names and stat numbers together, and presto! I'm done. Took me all day to figure it out, but I think its really cool at least.

I could double the size of the image and it would look ok, but I don't know how big it would be. I'll work more on it when I get home from work.



Edit: Double the size would be as big as the text in the blip above my actual post where it says "Orlandu's Post"

Edit2: Now that I think about it, I'll remove the "Orlandu's Post" thing all together. The larger size will be ok with that gone from the top.

Thats what I did. I had originally tried to make it merge individual files to one but that was very slow. This method is pretty much instant. I'll probably just end up writing it for you because I like to do that kind of thing.

Now to merge the text on to the card. That'll have to be tomorrow... well, later today. Its already after midnight.

Well, I have it up but its pretty slow. I'm not sure why it takes so long to load so I'll have to check around and see if I can make it work faster. I may be coding it the hard way which is making it not parse quickly.



I think it's because I was using imagecopymerge instead of just imagecopy.

Edit2: nope.
Edit3: Imagecopyresampled was even slower
Edit4: Using a ping24 with alpha was slowing it down some, but even overlaying the php image over the png file didn't make it much faster
Edit5: Ok, now it loads fast but it comes in blurry for a split second then materializes. Have to figure that out next. Maybe thats from the png24 alpha transparency?

Ok so as you can see I got it working... But I'm not happy with it. I'm going to have to refine it tonight. I think I'm going to leave the information at the top and just have it use the font feature, not the whole card.
