WARNING: THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK. AND SHOWS UNCUT FOOTAGE OF PEOPLE BEING SLAUGHTERED. WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK!

This is the sickest fucking shit I have ever seen in my life. Not because you see people get murdered, but clearly this is an act ran by trigger happy fuck heads in the military.

You will find more info in the link below. Below this is the video. If you have a weak stomach then do not watch this video.

This is a 40 minute long video of the attacks on the targets, and the civilizations. In the end you should notice that there are people in Hum-vees running over the dead bodies

http://www.collateralmurder.com/

Overview
5th April 2010 10:44 EST WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff.

Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.

The military did not reveal how the Reuters staff were killed, and stated that they did not know how the children were injured.

After demands by Reuters, the incident was investigated and the U.S. military concluded that the actions of the soldiers were in accordance with the law of armed conflict and its own "Rules of Engagement".

Consequently, WikiLeaks has released the classified Rules of Engagement for 2006, 2007 and 2008, revealing these rules before, during, and after the killings.

WikiLeaks has released both the original 38 minutes video and a shorter version with an initial analysis. Subtitles have been added to both versions from the radio transmissions.

WikiLeaks obtained this video as well as supporting documents from a number of military whistleblowers. WikiLeaks goes to great lengths to verify the authenticity of the information it receives. We have analyzed the information about this incident from a variety of source material. We have spoken to witnesses and journalists directly involved in the incident.

WikiLeaks wants to ensure that all the leaked information it receives gets the attention it deserves. In this particular case, some of the people killed were journalists that were simply doing their jobs: putting their lives at risk in order to report on war. Iraq is a very dangerous place for journalists: from 2003- 2009, 139 journalists were killed while doing their work.

...and so, my decision not to enlist stands firm. This shit, this shit that I speculated on, was the very reason I had no desire to enlist in anything over there.

Adventure? hell yeah.
Heroics? yup, that's me.
courage and determination and all that? Some call me stubborn.
You know you could get killed doing this? Yeah... just teach me not to.
leave your "righteous cause" at home and just help us dick around? wait, what!? That's the exact opposite of what I want to do with the above.

Agreed with Viola. Some friends of mine enlisted as marines only to have to torture "insurgents" with no evidence. Now they're fucking popping pills to cope with depression and were denied the money, benefits and schooling that was promised for their service.

Seriously, I fucking hate how our military is run. It disgusts me to no end and what makes it worse are all of the bigots that support this damnable war! Seriously, the next time I hear "sand nigger" I'm going apeshit. I don't care if it costs me my job but the next person to say it around me is going to regret it.

This would be reminding me of the whole Vietnam thing which, sadly, few of the government people who started this whole war thing seem to have remembered.

I hate what is happening in this world because of the US military, it disgusts me so..

Never will I enroll or support this damn war, this whole war situation is utterly fucked up. (excuse my words)
Honestly I don't feel sorry for them, anybody that does that is just looking for trouble. Our problem is we're too busy with everybody else.

This whole war truly is sickening, makes me ashamed to be a part of this country to be honest. And guess what? Some of my friends serving in this war aren't getting any compensation for commitment as they were promised by the US military.

I'm never gonna join the US military, I hate their ways and since I have a disability I can't be recruited anyway, if I'm correct about that. Still, I'm not gonna fight for this country if that's the way the US military are gonna be, I may as well be an axis to them.

Hope I didn't sound too harsh...

I would say you guys should lay off the Military hate in general. But I would be a hyprocryte by doing so. I mean, I support it, but I really can't see myself joining.

...Unless it was my final option. Being serious about it.

E- So to make things a little easy on you guys. It's ok to give your opinions on why you should never join. Bashing the military in general isn't a good idea. So instead, let's bash on these trigger happy fucks (And others).

I mean I have seen some really nasty pictures. Some stuff that could have been leaked on shock sites. But this was totally sickening to the bone:

"I got this motherfucker in the head from hundreds of yards away. Notice how his chest was filled with bombs! His head is split way the fuck open! Mother fucker could not hide from me"!

*Image of the description above*

What really gets me is how proud some of these guys in the military are so fucking proud of killing people. You hear many times in that video "Come on, all you need to do is pick up that gun".

ONE MAN, TRYING TO REACH FOR HIS CAMERA, WHILE BEING AIMED AT BY A CHOPPER!

That's a little FUCKING MUCH isn't it?

Yes! The people responcible mistook multiple civilians who were holding cameras for AK-47's and fucking RPG's.

"Yep it wasn't an RPG"

Guy: "Well...he is dead now"

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?

This has all been going on since the beginning in pretty much any military.

The issue here is that when you spend all the time claiming to be better than the rest, you sure had better have an appropriate response to deal with things like this.

Otherwise your 'civility' cred is about as valuable as some old dot-com stock.

My opinion of the military is that it should not be glorified when they pull stuff like this, and that the military's purpose should be defence, not pre-emptive strikes. When attacking, a good military only goes after other military targets and not civilians.

I greatly disagree with how the modern US military has been working.

I disagree with one thing in your post Terra, pre-emptive strikes are not a bad thing. If was comes then a pre-emptive attack could end it before it even starts, thus saving lifes in the long run.

However... those arguments are of course null when your dealing with terrorists and not a country.

What we have in Sweden is not even called an army, it's called the defence. It's quite simple, it's only there for protection. (Though, lately we have been sending soldiers via UN, but that's another matter...)

What about preventing an attack? This is all Pre-emptive in my dictionary. You mean to say that "Let them attack us first and we attack later?"

The first response would be "NO". Don't let them attack people first. We should not let them have the go ahead. That is fucked up!

Also my reason not to enlist as well. Seriously, when I was little I thought the military was all about being on an adventure and being heroic(you could compare me to Alex off of Lunar) and I always wanted to join. Recently I've actually paid attention to the crap stuff they pull and it makes me sick.

I think she means more when a pre-emptive strike really isn't called for, and is completely overdone to the point where it isn't pre-emptive at all. Situations like "oh, this country really isn't doing anything to us, and will likely never attack us, but we just plain don't like them, so we are just going to barge in, bomb everything to hell, and force democracy on the people whether they want it or not all because WE ARE AMERICA!" Gee, I wonder why other countries hate us so much? Maybe instead of pre-emptive, a better description would be "needlessly offensive".

Yeah, that is more what I meant. Like the recent war with Iraq. Not "never attack first ever", more like "never attack first with no reason".

But remember that anyone can just make up a reason on the spot and it can pretty much fly with people.

For quite some time now, The US military has been relying on some rather primal desires (aka cheap shots) to get people to enlist, like goin on a quest and making a name for yourself, several financial bonuses, a leveled-up physique, etc. Look what you have to do to actually get it. "Yeah well we all have to make sacrifi-" no fuck you. Look. What you have to do. To get it.

Best bet is to enlist in something more "local", like National Guard, because those guys really do seem to fulfill the side of being a hero that the army tossed out. You don't hear so much about them shooting hippies and college students anymore, as you do delivering water or supplies to Haiti/New Orleans/other disaster zone. Maybe it's emotional baggage.

There are absolutely no words...no words for how awful that is. I don't care what your view of the war or military is...this isn't right. Was I the only one that actually got emotional while watching that? Fuck...I come from a military family, but is this what we stand for now? Is this how the world views us? It's just so awful...
