1- I used to have this problem. That was until I got a job and started working out. Might I suggest Centrum tablets before bed? It's basically vitamins and will help unlock your energy from lack of sleep. Take a pill before bed, sleep for 8 hours and Get the fuck up. No seriously, I know it hurts, but get up. Walk around if you have to, and just get online / work out / do random chores. Eventually your body will train itself to get 8 hours of sleep. Will also give your more energy for your buck.

Hm, interesting. I used to take vitamins but in the morning--you can guess they didn't have much effect on my tendency to lapse into half-day snore-a-thons.

I exercise and it helps somewhat--but sometimes my brain decides to sabotoge waking up.

I guess the real issue is I've never thought of hurling myself out of bed, as I have no real issue with it being sorta painful, but rather since everyone else but me in this house has the opposite problem, none of them have ever thought to wake me up on those dumb days where I sleep until noon for absolutely no reason.

Thanks for the advice though. I hate how it wastes potential productivity, since past 7 to 8 hours, it's not recharging anything but just wasting time. Much like leaving a rechargable battery thing plugged in for hours on end for no reason after it has recharged.

Or then there's cases like this, where you spend 6 hours laying in bed not even coming close to falling asleep until finally you get to where even if you magically fell asleep right now you'd be getting up again so soon there's no point.

- Procrastination, one of my biggest bad habits. Its prevalent at work, at home, and was definitely my main issue at school but I managed to get things done and still keep straight A's. Of coarse I never took any challenging classes. If I worked hard, I could have done honors or AP but I just didn't want to because then I couldn't procrastinate.

- They call me... The Mad Tapper! At least my family always has. My brother and I are notorious for tapping on anything and everything. I probably picked it up because he and I were the youngest and after I was 12 or so we did just about everything together. We tap, tap, tap, tap, tap... which led me to learning to play the drums.

- Short memory. Maybe not so much a bad habit but its not from any deficiency, just laziness I guess. Someone will ask me to get something from the room I am going to. So I get the stuff I was going there for or do what I needed to do, then come back empty handed on whatever they asked me for... Drives my wife crazy. I could never be a waiter.

- Drinking diet soda, it just tastes so good.

- Popping my knuckles, I know it supposedly leads to arthritis but it sounds cool when I do it

- Now that I have babies, leaving diapers on the changing table. Its easy to forget to throw them away and before you know it there's a pile of old diapers sitting there.

* I eat too much and don't exercise enough.
Keeping track of my steps per day has shown me that I typically don't even break 10k steps in a day.
* Too much computer/vidjeogames.
Part of the previous problem.
* I'm terminally shy.
I'm... I'm working on it! It's really, really tough to open up to others, though...
* I tend to curse too much.
It's not a big problem in public or around family, but when I'm around my friends I'm worse than a sailor.
* Too much diet soda.
I don't really think the stuff is so terrible for you, but still. I need a little more water in my diet, I think.

You don't seem the type.

I have a bad habit of being too fucking awesome.

But seriously.

1. I tend to be somewhat destructive. If there's something I don't need, rather than throw it away I tend to break it up, tear it, or otherwise fuck it up for a few minutes for no real reason.

2. I don't hit the snooze button, I turn the alarm off. Usually I'm awake enough that I get up a few minutes later anyway, and although I sleep late (noon-2PM) that's largely because I stay up late.

3. I'm prone to forgetting things. Mostly because I don't often care.

4. I read TVTropes shortly before bed. It's not a good idea.

5. I tend to freak out when I feel cheated by a game - I have a pillow that some people would swear I keep specifically to throw. Thankfully this is only true of AI opponents and other non-human issues (bugs, rigged games, etc.) Against players? If I fuck up, I'll joke about it, and if I legitimately lose... well, I'll stupidly challenge the same person again, but I'm not gonna be mad about it.

6. I'm prone to forgetting things. Mostly because I don't often care.

7. I eat fast food just about every day I work and a good number of days I don't. To be fair, I also walk a lot - according to my Pokewalker, 17000-19000 steps. Every day I work. And about half that on days I don't.

I used to get McDonald's every day after school. Now I only get fast food 1-2 times a week (unless I'm visiting my parents, in which case we tend to get a lot of fast food). That's more a convenience and money thing than for health reasons though. It's cheaper to buy stuff at the supermarket, but I still satisfy my cravings.

My staid, calm internet personality is a foil to my over the top, wacky IRL one.

Of course, I'd have to get in Skype and start screeching like Ridley and singing songs backwards and upside-down for you to see what I mean. :p

Why hello there myself, how can I help me?

I guess I have more, but I can't bother to look into them right now...

And after that one would be your bad habit of modesty.

I tend to ignore my alarm until it's too late. I'm never on time for my first class. Some days (like when I sleep over at FPs) I skip all my classes. Warm cuddle is better than cold desk, no?

I also eat like a pig. The other day I ate 1000 calories of peanuts, just because I felt like it

I almost never do my work until the last possible moment. Normally that stuff gets higher grades than the stuff I actually try to do well, which seems wrong.

I pop my knuckles, neck, knees, wrists, back, almost everything. I can do most by just flexing said joint. Most of the time pops happen without me even wanting to. I could never be a ninja because of this. As I squatted down, my knees would pop and give my position away.

I often forget or don't feel like brushing my teeth, and hence forget all other parts of good morning/ good night routine.

I love chewing gum, and swallow it when I'm done (much easier than spitting it in the wrapper out and finding a trash can).

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of them... but this highlights my main ones.

I have this one too, it makes no sense. I've always just attributed it to me being very lucky.

I think I've come to rely on my luck too much, actually, in addition to the above, half the time when I forget to do something fairly important some wacky(or not-so-wacky) circumstance comes up that makes it irrelevant.

Aside from those two, I bite my nails(not my toes, I'm kinda disgusted by that even needing to be said), which is probably pretty terrible for my teeth, I wash my hands after doing anything that could possibly make them dirty(including biting my nails, no saliva on fingernails! XD) or smell bad(retainers! ), and though I'm generally very good with food and such(you don't become 130 lbs by pigging out(unless you're really,really short(I'm not, 6'0''(I like nesting parenthesis too, that's a bad habit(maybe it's because I'm a programmer?)))), I drink around a half-gallon of Arizona Iced Tea a day, and I'm fairly sure I have something of a caffeine addiction from that.

I also have a nasty habit of writing lots of run-on sentences.

~ I throw my laundry on the floor. This is pretty bad since my hubby does the same and in no time we have a pile of clothes on the bedroom floor or the bathroom floor. And I keep saying to use the hamper. So in an effort to stop, I put the hamper from the laundry room to the bedroom.
