Shiny Magnemite (now Magneton) a friend traded me and I think it had pokerus too. All I know is that I have pokerus in my pc box and I'd gladly trade around pokemon infected with it if I had wi-fi connection.

The very first shiny that I had ever run into was a Ho-oh, funny thing is that I didn't know it was shiny until I started my game over and ran into the red and green version of it.

Needless to say, I was a bit ticked.

Rival Silver sent out QUILAVA! (that's like 4 or 3 levels higher than your puny Chikorita)

It insisted in using leer constantly as it died of poisoning!

... Seriously, why did it do that? I though they'd use super effective attacks over all else?


Also my very first shiny was an stupid GOLBAT at victory road... Contrasted with Pokerus which I got from a wild Ralts at the start of Ruby (so the team had it from levels 3-8, meaning around level 25 had EVs maxed out already, meaning they were noticeably stronger than most anything) and then lost the save.

I bought Fire Blast for my Vulpix so he'd have an attack that could actually damage things close to his own level. It worked fantastic. I call it the Screw You attack and use it whenever I expect the enemy to be a cheap bastard.

Falkner (it should be Faulkner, but there was only room for 7 characters in trainer names in the original GSC) has Roost now, which recovers half of your HP... but I think he only gets 10 uses of it anyway... and Bugsy has U-Turn now, which is really powerful, but he has to switch out after usage. =P

Edit: Oh, and both of their rosters have gained some levels between GSC and HGSS, too.
