Ah, so it's just that VRAM improvement patch from before, with LM updated to support the functionality it adds? That's cool.
Actually, that means I could base my hack on that patch, if it doesn't already do what I needed. (i.e. copy level tilemap into VRAM more efficiently - the original code copies the entire screen every frame.)
So it seems like the editor is not a joke but everyone thinks so because of the glitches. However, myself and a few others are beginning to think that's it's for real, the issue is just that the editor changes a lot of the ASM used in the editor now, which conflicts with hacks made in older versions of the editor, causing all the issues people are running into. So either port to a new rom before continuing your hacks or keep using the older version until you finish it.
Still, you think he would have tested with several existing ROMs and patches, and made sure it doesn't break them. I read the SMWC posts and people are reporting it trashed their levels in some cases.
(I still wish he'd release the source... *grumble*)
(oh and you don't really need to quote all that empty space in my post. I just added that because I couldn't find a more legitimate way to pad its length, and this flipped image just looks weird in short posts.
