Earthbound is a win. It is the only Mother title to actually make it to America translated.

Daily Cycle II ~ -2307
I play RPGs that a friend of mine decides to play together via netplay, with 2P (me) being a spectator in games that have no 2P mode.

Currently, Lufia 2. Previously, Final Fantasy 6, Seiken Densetsu 3, maybe others.

I don't play RPGs on my own very often.

Right now I'm getting into Treasure of the Rudra's, and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. Surprised I've never come across this game before.

Im currently playing it as well, kinda funny that I usually speed-train then go fight bosses only to encounter "Oh yeah, still difficult" bosses to beat.

I dont like the way the Giants talk in that game. its like XEO, this is a PRIME example of how they TALK, like CAPS is one of THEIR features in TALKING.

I always wondered why some games did that. Lol, Pokémon. "PIKACHU used THUNDER SHOCK! Enemy CATERPIE fainted!" Like WTF, would it have been so hard to use proper case? TRANSLATORS used LAZINESS! It's super effective!

The later Mega Man Battle Network games were like that too. There was a certain type of friendly NPC which always used all caps, I think many of them were green.

Yeah, the 'program' NPCs talked like that, I guess it was supposed to make them seem robotic or something. I see the caps used in games as a replacement for putting emphasis on words, if you can't use bold or italics to emphasize things, use caps! Like Zelda used colored text, many other games use all caps.

Its chain stretches long when you use it! BOING!

Caps, when nothing else fits, are good for emphasising a much louder tone of voice, like "You did WHAT?!". Sometimes, not even bold or italics will convey it -- "You did what?!" conveys more suprise than shock, for example.

I was thinking of a game that diddnt use different types of characters or caps in the way they were trying to emphasize on how they were talking. Like the words actually had animation.

I keep thinking Mario RPG, but I know there are others out there.
