I was only stung once and I don't know if it was a bee or a wasp since the little bugger got me from behind. Whichever one it was, it felt like a frigging sucker punch to the back of the head.

Ugggghhhhh, wasps are evil, horrible, and generally unpleasant.

When we moved into the house we're in now, the backyard was infested with wasps. A few hours a day every day the first summer were spent looking for and killing wasp nests, and they still came back the next year.

Eventually it started to work, but we still get some now and then, they just don't want to leave us alone.

My mom had anaphylaxis, a potentially deadly reaction, from bee sting stuff when she was being tested for allergies at a much younger age. It always made me terrified of bees. I remember hiding under a blanket in my bedroom because of an insect that sounded like a bee.

My usual nemesis during childhood camping trips was the mosquito. Once I counted my mosquito bites mid-trip (trips were only 4 or 5 nights, usually) and there were 57.

ha ha ha ha ha ha @ all of you guys. Try spraying some spray adhesive in their general direction. Kinda hard to fly when you've got shit gumming up your wings. Even better, clog up their hive with it. watching them try to get out like a fire in a movie theater is fucking hilarious.

Even a regular spray bottle can weigh them down with too much water for them to fly.

Then my cat would devour the hapless wasp.

When I was really little I was stung by something, a wasp I guess, but I don't really remember if I saw it... then a few years later I was stung by a bumble bee when I put my hand on one while trying to jump over the railing on the back porch.

I can't remember being stung any other times (although I get bitten by stuff a lot; mosquitoes eat me alive
