I finally picked up my copy of SoulSilver yesterday though I have not yet begun to play it but I will at some point soon this weekend.

GatheringRO has a stronghold on me at the moment because I want to get those darn rabbit ears and not the bunny band either

.. but enough about RO.

I'm devising a good six pokémon team that will involve my starter being a fire type and I'm sure to pick up ditto along the way if I get lucky enough. I'm still deciding on which other three team mates will fill the spot and of course I will have two HM slaves for my journey. I'll post more about my team later on when I have set up my game.

This somehow seems less cute when Bug Dude is a Beedrill. And I'd literally just read the Pokédex entry about how toxic their stingers are.

I think Joey's brain is broken. He called 4 times in a row yesterday, and twice already today (after about 2 hours of play) to tell me how he thinks his Ratatta is in the top percentage. Poor kid. Meanwhile Wade seems awfully impatient despite that he never moves from that spot... oh well, free stuff is good.

I do wish they'd call for a rematch more often though. I need money and EXP and these weak wild critters just aren't providing!

Still haven't assembled a good team but for the most part I'm waiting to get the National Dex before I do that. Then again I don't even have a fishing rod.

So only made it to the radio tower so far.

Bugsy was a joke. First round, put him to sleep, whittled him down to nothing. Next two went down in one hit. He never had a chance to attack.

Mamoswine is a god-tier Pokemon that doesn't really take a whole lot of effort to get. Snag a Heart Scale somewhere, level a Swinub to 33 and evolve, take Piloswine to the move deleter's pad, trade a Heart Scale and teach it AncientPower, level up, ???, profit!

Also, EQ at 40 with him. Jawsome.

Bah. Voltorb Flip just stopped being fun when I discovered you can actually drop levels. Unless I'm missing some obvious pattern (probably), some rounds can't be won without a random guess or two, so you're basically punished for a bad random layout. Yay.

The effects are annoying too (shut up and just continue already), but that can be partially mitigated by turning the sound off.

Either way it'd take bloody ages to win that many coins, so enough of that. I should probably get back to actually playing.

(I miss the old casino games though; they were much more fun and didn't have such annoying effects.)

Maybe when it comes time to study for my statistics final, I should practise by doing some tests to see how random that game actually is.

Hint: All rows where the total count of points and Voltorbs = 5 you mark as a dead row. You will not win anything by selecting that row anyway. If there are no Voltorbs in any row/column you can flip them all over and easily figure out other rows.

I would like to have some things clarified about this titles if you people don't mind. (But try and avoid spoilers)

Graphics: Frankly, the 2D battles sprites where a downgrade from gen 3 IMO, so I'm just wondering if they look any better in HG/SS. The 3D textures where improved in Pt from D/P but it's still lacking, any upgrades?

Another aspect I really want to know about is if the battle speed is faster then in Pt (Pt was a bit faster then D/P)

And is the remixed music pleasing? Does it give back the feeling of playing G/S, or does it slightly alter from it like FR/LG?

I mean, I know I will buy the game regardless to play it myself, but if I know I can set my standards on he right level before playing, and thus, making the game more enjoyable for myself.

Yes. It is quite a bit faster. It feels back to close to GB speeds.

I taught Beedrill Rock Smash and that move has helped so much throughout the game. He was my key to defeating Whitney. And his Pursuit was what got me through Morty's gym. Of course I got lucky and his Attack is the boosted stat from his nature.

Lv. 27 Beedrill

Sixth spot is still unknown though I'm considering trading over a level 28 Farfetch'd from Pearl to take on Chuck and his gym since I have no good flying or psychic types. Since I don't have a second DS to do trades with though, I might have to wait on that until at least monday. So I might go back and fight Jasmine first.

My Ampharos has pretty horrible Speed so I'm considering teaching it Payback since that does 2x damage if you attack second.
