Seriously. This was one of those PS2 games I never played, or picked up. At the time I was more into RPG's and head deep into the Metal Gear Solid games (Substance Online). This game was indeed in my radar, but I never got a chance to play it up until today.

For $30, I could not go wrong. And once I sat down and played it. I had a blast.

I don't know too much about the story, and I just want everyone to know that please do not post spoilers for me. All I know, is Kratos, a warrior, is pissed off, and he rips the nuts off of female virgins. The gameplay is outstanding and wayyyy over the top.

I do know that the PS3 version has been remade in HD (720p), has trophies (For some reason, although it says it does contain trophies...I don't see them. Maybe it's a problem with the servers or something?), and has a bunch of extra content for the fans.

I recommend anyone who has not played this game and who has a PS3 pick this game up. It's fucking unreal.

I have never shouted this loud at a videogame since Metal Gear. And Metal Gear Solid is my all time favorite game ever

Son of a bitch this game makes me feel good inside. I never felt so good at a game before in my life. How did I ever miss this?

And hell God of War 3 comes out in less than two weeks. Look at this shit!

The GOW games is one of those games that when you play 'em, you do feel good cause you let out your anger lol! Part 3 is gonna kick major ass! I read on the net that it took 2 PS2 hardwares just to make Kratos look the way he looks on the PS3, that's really impressive!

The animations and whatnot, it's really gonna look like you're watching a movie. >8)

I held on to my PS2 cause of the last 2 games, I know how you're feelin' right now...

The way the God of War collection looks on PS3 is amazing. I thought I was playing an early gen of a PS3 game.

I just can't believe it looked this good on PS2 back then on a standard TV. Sure it looks like shit during movies, but still, it looks and plays like one of the best games I have ever seen.

I mean hell I was throwing swords with chains attached at some birds, bringing them down, and ripping the fucking wings off of them. Holy mother of fucking shit!

So I just stomped the hell out of God of War and I played a little bit of the 2nd one today.

I can't believe I missed this game growing up with the PS2. I really can not believe it.

Like my jaw was to the floor the whole time I was fighting



And the way the story wraps up was just tight.

Now I will say there was one part in the game that almost made me throw my controller.



I still got the gold trophy (Not taking a scratch) but come on. That was bullshit. It took me almost 30 minutes to get there.

But yeah tomorrow when I get off work I plan on playing the 2nd one and see what it has in store. Once I beat the 2nd one, I'll work on getting both platinum trophies for the game.

The God of War 3 demo pissed me off.



Seriously, fucking blueballing my ass. But hey, I reserved it at Gamestop. So I get that sweet costume that was advertised for it.



Anyways, played a little bit of God of War 2 today and already I am stuck on this one part. I forget where it's at, but I am about 30% done with the game. So I have about a week to beat it before 3.

Got this game today after work as well, not very far yet as I had to go do some boozin' but I must say, there was a couple changes of pants since I've started playing it. I too was just introduced to the God of War series since the God of War collection re-release as I never had a PS2, and me being a sucker for classical mythology, I ate this shit up.

For once I have a use for the emote. And it is for this game.

So, yes. I have beaten this game. So here are my thoughts about it.

First of all. God of War 3 kicks you ass so hard your asshole is a new mouth. You will fart out so much shit that even your shit's shit talks shit and farts out new quotes to say about it. And their children's shit will shit so much shit that the shit hits the fan and shit will be all over the place.

It's that fucking good.

The violence, sexual themes (Heh. It was awesome. Popped a boner out of me), graphics, and even the story were amazing.

Ok, so where do I begin?

This game delivers. It has violence, puzzles, tits, story, and even gore. You could not ask for more in this game. And if you had it ask. It too delivers.

My two favorite boss fights:



And now. My thoughts on the ending...



Now, which is better. Metal Gear Solid series, or God of War series.



Welp, at least the other game comes in 2nd.

This is why I don't buy many PS3 games or any console game for that matter. You can beat them way too easily. I'm hooked on MMOs that you can't beat in a week.

That being said, you make me want to rent it! Even with a crappy ending, I'll probably never get that far. I played the demo and it was fun, so I wouldn't mind it for a weekend to spend some time off the PC for a while. Maybe I'll rent it tomorrow. Its either this or FF13.

Oh believe me, it's not easy. And the ending wasn't that bad. It's just...weird. Not something I was expecting.

I beat it around 10 hours. But it also has good replayability. Like finding all of the treasures, costumes, extra items, and the cheat codes (You have to earn them!).

So I got myself the GoW collection and GoW 3.

So I cleared both GoW 1 and 2 and just got started on 3 and I have to say tHOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK.

This game is so fucking amazing.

And I'm only at the second save point. Just... If you have a PS3, then you HAVE to have this game. Seriously.


Oh and, everything Bitmap has said (outside of spoilers that I haven't read) is fucking true.

I didn't end up renting it yet. We went to a car show and race at the drag strip yesterday and I bought a few t-shirts. This was my spending money for the weekend, so no more to rent it until next payday.
