...that took a few weeks, if not more, to make.

I honestly have no clue why. There wasn't anything that about it that was challenging... And I'm not even pleased with the core animation -- it feels incredibly sub-par, especially considering the time I had spent on it.

Really, I'm only pleased with the button interface, and that took less than a day to make.

[edit] fun fact: the .fla of this is like 70mb

Oh, right. The assignment itself.

We were supposed to make a short animation involving a "motion trail" of some kind, which I used on the cannonball. I took so long that I combined that assignment with the next one, which is just another animation that's controlled via buttons.

A user controlling the trajectory would add many challenges. As for the piece itself, I think its alright. Nothing brilliant but its better that most can do (including myself). I haven't worked in flash for years. The animation is smooth and the artwork is decent. Good coloring and shadows.

And yes, I want to see more of your work also.

Oh. Well, then that'd work--I could use a different set of frames or just a whole new scene, but eh.

I'll post my other stuff tomorrow since I don't have any of them on me...

[edit] wow, I messed up the dimensions of each embed... fixin'
[edit2] fix'd

<object width=550 height=290>

<embed src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1269395998.swf" width=550 height=290></embed></object>
This is an early assignment, requiring the use of cel-shading. I wasn't sure what to do, so I just threw some random stuff together.

<object width="750" height="325">

<embed src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1269396092.swf" width="750" height="325"></embed></object>
Another early assignment combined two projects, motion and shape tweens, because I was a bit behind.

<object width="800" height="550">

<embed src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1269396079.swf" width="800" height="550"></embed></object>
Aside from the castle/motion trail assignment originally posted, this project -- using transform to spin/displace objects -- took me the longest to do.

<object width="1000" height="650">

<embed src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1269396594.swf" width="1000" height="650"></embed></object>
I decided to reuse the kart guydudeman from the previous assignment, and I wanted to incorporate a cheap tracing of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine in this text effect assignment. I slightly gonked the first transition when I was messing with the .swf when I finished...

<object width="800" height="525">

<embed src="http://www.swfcabin.com/swf-files/1269396072.swf" width="800" height="525"></embed></object>
And what may be my favorite project -- the use of a spotlight. I'm more than satisfied with the results.

Yeah, that was definitely "tomorrow..." I may have gotten distracted with Pokemon and whatnot, so eh
