I might actually get one because my DS Fat's R button is dying. My roommate's offered to buy it from me for the difference that I would get for trading in a DSi to Gamestop towards the purchase of a DSi XL. So he'd give me $80-100 and I can spend that towards the XL. Otherwise all I'd get is the trade-in on my DS plus $30 extra from gamestop, meaning I'd still be down about $120. This way I'd only have to pay $80-100 from my pocket.

I had a DS for a little bit but I wasn't a fan. They're fun, but I preferred my PSP. No reason to get a jumbo sized version.

If I get a new DS it will be a another lite or a DSi. I prefer something that is more mobile over bigger screen. And on top of that, like Shadic said, it will just resize everything without making it look better. (At least as far as I know)
And if so, it's better to keep it small IMO.

Kinda like how all my GBA games looked so much better when I got a micro.... except this time it's the other way around...

I don't mind the bigger size (I usually play at home anyway), but there's still nothing pushing me to switch my (now 3 year old) DS Lite for a DSi yet

I don't think I'll be upgrading anytime soon.. much more than happy with my 4 year old DS lite.

Not to mention that I still use my GBA slot for my special cart and an imported japanese GBA cart 'Mother 1 & 2' that I still have.

I just got a regular DSi (in Schala Blue =P) for my birthday, so no... I'll pass on the DSi XL...

I'll still keep my DS Lite around for GBA games and for Action Replay, since I don't have an Action Replay DSi. =/

This was my exact thought when I first heard about it.
Now that it's been seen, I'll admit that I think the bronze one looks pretty boss, but I still don't see the point in it.

I'm satisfied with my DS Lite and haven't upgraded to the DSi (seems like a downgrade with the loss of the GBA slot), so I think I'll pass on the DSi XL too.

I might get a new DS soon, especially because something happened to my stylus slot and now the stylus flies out if you so much as pick it up quickly, but if I do, it won't be one of these.

There's really nothing it has over the normal DSi, I prefer smaller, really, and I'm not even sure if I want one of those over a DS lite. Still, I'm glad it exists, if for no other reason than maybe not-XL DSi's might get cheaper now.
