It's around 8:30am. The counter top at work has a cooler attached to it. I bend down and say excuse me to the lady that's in my way. I open the cooler and reach in and then I feel something hit me and cut me. The knife that was on the counter had fallen.

Not sure if it was knocked down or what, but all I knew was that I had been cut on my left pinky right on the knuckle. I rush to security to get it checked out.

It doesn't bleed until a few minutes later. And then the bruise-like pain starts, especially when I try to bend the finger.

Now I'm at work with one and half hands, not fun. Especially since the day started out pretty bad.

I asked my father-in-law to pick me up from work. He told me that I should go to the clinic to be on the same side.

So I did.

They gave me a tetanus shot just in case and took x-rays. It's not fractured, but it is badly bruised. They placed the pinky in a splint so I wouldn't bend it.

Yep. The cut isn't that bad and I think it's closing already. But it's bruised all around the pinky. The pain has started to die down.

Aww, I hope it gets better. Cuts are no fun.

I've cut my finger slightly several times when preparing food for myself. Once it happened like twice within a week. Ugh.

Went back to the clinic and they said that it's healing nicely and that I don't need the splint.

Right now it's very stiff and I still can't bend it all the way. Still feels bruised and hurts.
