That's right, the Hotel Dusk sequel is dead.

Hotel Dusk is fucking godlike. Trace Memory is hit-or-miss, and it's really short to boot.

Especially when the larger company discontinues the superior/cheaper products of the smaller company, or makes huge changes to said products in order to integrate them into another product line, or promises to use the acquired technology to better their own products, and then just throws it away...

Someone who has the required capital should set up some kind of small games developer's guild or somesuch that exists to ensure that small developers have the financial and peer backing to grow and perhaps merge, but with no interference from said 'guardian' organization. An umbrella corporation, if you will.
