YAY!

I loved the first game, in my opinion, the whole portal-opening, dimension-warping idea was so creative and well-designed. Too bad it was way too short. But now, after this awesome news, I'm happier, because I know, that I can play around more in nice puzzles.

Yeah, I heard of it, even played it a bit. I rather meant that this is the first real, professional attempt to make a game like this. ND was quite fun...but obviously Portal has better development on this space-warping idea.

Apparently it takes place hundreds of years after the first game.

Seriously though, it's nice to see companies looking at amateur (Well, student) games and knowing a great idea when they see it.

I really like the Half Life franchise, but I love Portal to pieces.

A few of my buddies think P2 will be crap because it's 'more of the same', however I pointed out that if it were somehow retroactively a second act to the original (black out, wake up later in the same game) they wouldn't be complaining. They have antisequelitis.
