McDonald's have had some REALLY quickly done ads today... bragging about us having the most gold while showing the men's hockey team celebrating.

You know, given how a lot of the foreign media was suggesting that the games weren't up to par after a few days... I think the end result proved them wrong. It's been said a lot in the media, but we embraced the Olympics. Oh, and the patriotism level was just off the charts.

Good luck to London in 2012 and Sochi in 2014. You might be able to pull off a better Olympic Games on a technical and organizational level, but as far as fan reaction... it's gonna be tough to beat us. We were probably on par with Sydney in that respect.

Maybe its just me, but I fast forward the majority of the closing ceremonies. It was really boring for me.
