I remember when browsers used to have little animated images in the top corner to keep you amused while you chugged along.

I remember the falling meteors (is that what they were supposed to be?) and the "N" in Netscape. Then, IE had an animated e, and Mozilla had an animated m. I never noticed those things being gone.

Mozilla was rather slow compared to Firefox.

With the added speed of Firefox, and the distraction of new features, I didn't notice the disappearance of the glowing icon in the upper right corner. Indeed, I had forgotten about it until recently.
