Just got in from helping my dad shoveling snow off the roof. No, I'm not kidding, it's so bad we have to shovel the roof just to make sure it won't break down due to weight.

And earlier today I helped him shovel the driveway so we can get the car(s) out.

So I'm just going to say I'm fucking tired right now.

That's something I like about living in a high-rise. No lawn to mow, no leaves to rake, and no snow to shovel.

I don't know if my parents ever shovelled their roof, but we've had to shovel the driveway a lot. It must have been hard for my dad if it snowed at night, as he'd leave for work at 5:00 or so in the morning.

By the time we went in it had been dark for quite some time. I will see if I can get some pics taken tomorrow... though I won't be able to get them uploaded until sunday/monday. (lack camera cable thingy)

But yeah, I sure got a workout. :<

When I was a kid I could never understand why my parents hated snow. Of course, this was because while I mas making snowmen they were working hard to shovel the drive way or struggling to drive somewhere because of how bad the roads were. Today I understand why they hated it so much and have grown to hate it myself, I wouldn't care if it never snowed here again .

It's an enigma
----------------------------------------------------
I have to say, after having multiple feet of snow fall this winter, I'm glad I'm at a college where they shovel snow for you.

With industrial strength tools.

Though I did have to help shovel the deck when I was home over winter break. That took an hour or two.

I always feel bad when I see my parents shovel snow while I'm inside doing crap. So bad that I don't feel like going out anymore because it's like they have things handled already.

Don't ask. Basically, me being a lazy fuck.

Paulguy's Post configuration
Never had to shovel the roof, but people have lost their roofs around here due to snow piling up and weak structure.

My sister usually gets me or whatever jock boyfriend she has at the moment to do the shoveling.

We lost our pool that way Google earth hasn't updated the map for our area since then, either, so if you happen to look up my street it looks like there's a huge crater in my back yard...kind of amusing

Not much shoveling so far this year. Light snowfall.

(Of course, we might get drilled next week...)

Wow, we never had that many snow, I just have to shovel it from the pavement, but not from the roof. I don't like shoveling snow too much, but fortunately we don't have too much pavement in our garden.
And actually, the snow started to melt yesterday, it seems, after 3-4 weeks with 20-30 cm snow will be over, at least. It's so nice to see, that I can go out again and do healthy stuff outdoors.
