Yeah, no bonus. The wall is parallel to the tracks, so they won't be "slamming into it at __ miles per hour". They'll collide with it with considerably less force, and just slide/roll along it until they come to a stop. Chances are they'd still be beaten up (probably a broken bone or ten) because at that speed you really don't have much luck anywhere, but that's still a far cry from flying off the track and into a metal pole and snapping your body pretty much in half.

So... yeah.

Fun fact: apparently when VANOC declared the track "Safe," they did so after being advised so by some Luge association or another.

So if that is indeed true, it may not be "good going olympics" but "fission mailed, luge assoc."
