I really hope this is because you just don't know how it works.

I really really do.

Not in the original game, because you can buy a new one for 90 rupees or something.
...

I have 24 rupees

Those are EXTRA keys, IIRC you never need them.

There are rooms in the dungeons you can skip and save keys that way, but I'm quite sure that there are as many keys placed as there are doors.

I also heard something about some magic key that opens all doors, but I don't know, maybe that's ZC only.

My dad was always bad at SMB1. He would warp 1-4-8 every game and I always wanted to know what the other worlds looked like (eventually I learned how to play SMB1 on my own). Then, he'd promptly get his ass handed to him by world 8's difficulty.

I suck at some games. We got Castlevania for NES in 1996 or so and I still have not beat the 4th boss. Then again, it's Castlevania we're talking about.

I'm sure that either ages or seasons had a dungeon where you could put the key into the wrong hole and get perma-stuck, the chances of this happening were very slim though.

Also, if you get tired at being cautious in minesweeper then you're really really bad at it.

but maybe you just haven't found a game you're good at yet... :/

And I thought I sucked at video games...
Oh wait, I do. Just not as much as you do.
I'm basically the same with the Mega Man games. I need to practice.
As for Pac-Man Arrangement, that shit is fucking tough. Fortunately, practice has gotten me to the point where I only start needing continues very close to the end.

Another genre I've always been bad at has been fighters, but I'm slowly starting to improve, at least with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I still suck at other ones. Oh well~

Nope, that's in the original. It sets the number of keys you have to "A".

They have one in Zelda II. You get it at like, the end of the game.

You can also use Fairy.

I put my key in the wrong door ...
Unless I'm missing something in an empty room, I'm stuck.

It went like this -
While in the water temple I got lost, ran around it twice and found a door for my key.
One the other side I now have a near empty room with a door wanting another key.
And then I went around the temple again, finding not a key, but a locked door.

It's possible in any of the original cart releases of OoT. If you put your key into the doors in the wrong order in the Water Temple you end up a key short and can't finish the temple. It's why in the Master Quest original OoT, Collector's Edition and VC versions you end up with an extra key - so you cannot possibly get stuck.
