Thanks to the power of Opera's sessions and Tab Lock Feature™ I've had the same two tabs on the left edge of my browser open for the last month. Normally I lock things of interest or that I want to check out later, but jesus christ a month already.

...

A month is a pretty big exaggeration, but it's well over a week now, and they're still there. Every other tab open has been closed or recycled at least once.


I probably won't get to it even after another week, though

I don't save browser sessions as I prefer to start fresh each time. However, sometimes tabs end up there for hours. I do try to keep the number at 5 or fewer because it really bugs me when the tabs compress, for some irrational reason.

I cannot stand losing my tabs whenever I restart the browser. Opera's session saving is pretty awesome

Right now I have 9 tabs open, which is actually a pretty small number for me. I never really get to 20-30 or above though.

I always close out a session entirely unless there's some specific reason relating to what I'm doing that makes me want to save them.

It was normal for me to have at least 40 tabs open in Firefox at once (once I had 120), but I've migrated to Google Chrome because I couldn't stand the lag anymore. Even now though, about 10 tabs is standard, but I actually close the tabs I don't need anymore and use bookmarks!!!

Yea, I have my Firefox save sessions on close, and my number of tabs can vary... it's often between 3 and 15. I rarely have less than three tabs open for some reason (mainly because I use YouTube to listen to music, etc.)...

I never close my browser... yeah, that says something.

I keep Ogame open almost all the time these days. (Even though I don't look, I just don't want to have to log in again.)
And I usually keep something around that I "want to check later" then end up being to lazy to do it and close it when I have to turn the PC off. (Aka, every week end or so when I leave for my dads place.)

I don't keep many tabs open, but I usually have about 3 that stay on most of the time. I usually try to keep it below 3 or 4, but sometimes I have a lot more open than planned.

I top out at 30 tabs and don't save sessions. I generally close them down once my Firefox bogs down.

It really depends here ... sometimes I leave some tabs open for weeks, but sometimes I'm only using one tab


I rarely ever have dozens of tabs open at once, though

I've had gmail, an Internet tv site and imageshack open for months, though the browser has been closed several times.

As for tabs, I tend to have said 3 tabs open, maybe a YouTube, whatever forum I'm browsing, maybe a couple scratch tabs, then whatever crap I clicked in irc. It usually doesn't go much over 10 though.

I've got several tabs (usually collapsed into one to save space) that have been open for weeks that I check every so often. (They're mostly threads on various forums that I'm tracking the progress of). I find it easier to just go through them and refresh whenever I feel like it than remembering to open them from bookmarks or something.

It's only annoying when I restart Firefox, because the browser locks up for a bit as all those tabs load back up.
