I love high-def displays on a standard AV cable. There's nothing quite as amazing as playing squints to try to figure out what shit says.

My brother got a 360 for christmas. We only have SD TVs in our house. It's terribly hard to read stuff on them. So dumb.

Yep. I totally agree. It made my eyes hurt as well and I had to play with lights on in order to see better.

I had to deal with that on a 19" TV for like 2 years until I went out and bought the cable to hook it up to my 23" monitor.

Even stuff like PS2 and GameCube on RF was a problem... and I used it until 2006, when I finally got a new TV after moving. =/

I see tiny resolutions and characters disappearing in the distance on N64 games, and wonder "how did people not notice this?" And then I remember what TVs were like in 1996. Bleh.

HD doesn't exactly make it better, unless you have 1080p. Try making out the tiny lettering on some HD games at 480p or 720p. (I'm looking at you, Chromehounds.)

Solutions:
For when others do it. I don't think I've ever seen a good use for HTTP referrers anyway.
For those of you who are lazy and only do it because you can't be arsed to download and reupload.
For those of you who implement this silly practice in the first place.

It worked for me after I hit Refresh. Or you could try copy/pasting the URL into the address bar.
