	It seems that blackhole doesn't understand what the owner of a board is. Acmlm is the original owner, and even if he hasn't worked on it for the past few years, it doesn't matter. It's still his board and he still has authority. blackhole, on the other hand, was pretty much (from what I've seen) a self-proclaimed owner. (been at school ALL day and feeling kind of lazy so I just skimmed this thread)

This is a semi-rant though not geared at anyone specifically here or anything.

I've been at Acmlm's since like the 2nd incarnation and its just become tiresome. Ever since the split I just lost nearly all of my interest, I was posting at boardII for awhile but it just went downhill pretty quickly.

Above all however, this is what gets me the most. How selfish some of the higher up's are that have caused all of this. I find it rather utterly pathetic to what's its done to Acmlm's main aspect: rom hacking. That's where Acmlm's began and since 2001 that was always one of the most active places in the forums. Sure the majority of those users weren't the most well known and hardly any of them ever made it to staff, but the rom hacking community within Acmlm's was always pretty huge. It was always fun to see the development and new ideas pop up (when they weren't sprite hacks!). Then the board gets wiped a few times, split in two, destroyed, etc and all these guys that weren't even a part of it were just thrown in the middle. Who knows, maybe handful of people lost all of their work because of it.

I don't know, I'm not even into rom hacking and I never got into that seriously, but that's been something that always kind of bugged me about all the drama. Just seems unfair to those people. Then again its not like Challenge Games, DES, or TeK is around anymore so maybe rom hacking just brings bad Karma.

It was fun while it lasted I guess. Lots of new faces around here from what I'm seeing, I'll probably pop up from time to time. I was once 'permabanned' as MasterSephiroth on the first (or 2nd?) installment, then become the local mod Xeo during the 3rd. Which was probably the highlight for me. I think after ||bass started up his 1.A series and everything the whole community started going down the slide.

I somehow doubt reviving it again and again will help. One thing that would help is Acmlm stopping RO for periods of time if he does want to be a part of the community that he made... if Acmlm is indeed the problem. Really, if blackhole is re-opening the board, but without Acmlm in it (Seeing as Acmlm has decided to leave the board alone), it'll be like \|\|board but without all the faggotry (SERVER ADMIN TAKES OVER/REVIVES DEAD BOARD, ALTERNATIVE GUARANTEED). --END RANT-- How sad... but... insert comment about Megaman dancing for a new generation of boards or maybe just Okkusenman. ____________________ This layout modified from an old, disgusting layout I had on I3.
