Mine sounds like a phone ringing. I've found that other sounds confuse me and I think it's something other than the phone.

Plus my first phone couldn't accept ringtones because they hadn't extended the service to the Detroit area, or some such, so I just got used to the phone-ringing sound.

I use only vibration.

My phone I always in my pocket, so it makes it so that only I notice.

I just have a normal phone sound, and I don't really want to have anything else. Why? Because otherwise I'll associate that song with getting a phonecall and will jump everytime I hear it normally. It happens to my brother with the Katamari theme (his ring tone).

On that note, I convinced my bro to set my ringtone (being the nerd that I am) to the Mailbox SP ringtone from Paper Mario.

Also being in the video game nerd fraction, the Codec Call from MGS. For messages it is the "exclamation mark" sound.

But except from being home I never get it to listen to the tones, as my phone is in vibration mode as well when I'm not at home. Don't like listening to annoying sounds inside the bus. I also don't want to annoy people if my phone rang (it may be the best theme I like ever, but not for other people probably) outside too much.

Sometimes it just sucks if you are tired - and suddenly a bag emits a weird sound, the cell phone owner then searches and searches for that, and after only 20 seconds he or she finds the phone, to answer that he/she indeed will bring some potatoes

I didn't have a cell phone until 2007, and now I only use them because they're cheaper than landlines. I do take 1 of my phones with me but I leave 1 plugged in at home as my "home phone". I don't do cell-phone-only stuff like text messaging or phone games.
