I agree. Start out with Super Puyo Puyo 2 from the Super Nintendo.

After you can beat normal. Play on the hardest, then PP7.

This is me though.

That's a lot of people, though. The farther into the Puyo series you go the more advanced and nutty the gameplay becomes because of all the additional elements in throws in.

The reason I would go 2 instead of 1 is because of offsetting being THE logical thing that was added to Puyo Puyo when it was made...otherwise you wind up with how most people saw Kirby's Avalanche; there was no way to counter a quickly made 6 or 7 chain and you could kill with reckless abandon if you were the first one. With offsetting, you had a way of countering it so long as you could pull a similar combo off at the same time in opposition.

With the advent of Fever (and, to a smaller degree, Sun) you had ways of literally destroying the opponent with a continously convenient fever place that would likely own most new people with a cheap one-two. There's honestly not a lot of skill in pulling the chains off in Fever mode when you get that far. Taking the time to add to it for larger chains later on is but most people don't really use it for that in the casual players and that's what turns a lot of people off.

7 just compounds on it and makes it a lot worse with Henshin mode. It's a nice alternative from Fever but it's fairly overdone and very easy to own a person that isn't expecting a lot.

I am very happy. This is a lie.
I suck at all puyo games no matter what, so I don't have a problem with any of the game mechanics! :specialed:
Also PP1's AI is quite murderous on the hardest difficulty.

But my problem is that I simply don't know what to do with the pieces I don't want. In a game like Panel de Pon, you can give any pieces on the field any use, but in most others you have to slowly build the chain to do anything.
Not to mention I am like in constant "bastard RPG mode".

We play the 5 player multiplayer in Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary at school. Fun times.

I also played Panel de Pon in the form of Pokémon Puzzle Challenge. I still like it, but as with Puyo Puyo, I'm not very good at it.

I'm slowly learning to do chains in Puyo though, I can already prepare a simple 4-5 stairs chain. Doing 9 chains like the people on Wi-Fi is pretty crazy though D;
Also I like the Frozen Puyos mode, where instead of Nuisance Puyos, you get frozen Puyos which break in about three turns and do nice chains on their own. Fun.

I don't really like Tetris, though I can survive for 10 levels on Tetris DS.

Fun indeed! I still carry it around on my DS and play it sometimes. I like the puzzles and line clear mode.

IT'S ROBOTNIK
Actually I couldn't even beat level two in Robotnik's MBM back then, but I got better with PP15A.

On DS with R4s and using the translation I'm assuming.

Not sure if PP7 got a translit from Nexus yet or not.
