I don't know if this is the right forum for asking this.
I have a tablet, Trust Slimline Design Tablet TB-5300
It worked good until:

This happens every hecking time i link the tablet with my PC!!! When i close the error message, it pops up again and forever!!! Enough!!!
I just found out the mistake: it is not the tablet, it works perfectly.
It comes due of an applycation called wisptis.exe, found on System32.
Making more researches, i understood that fixing it requires paying money (Registry Booster is fucking shareware and the only solution to fix it)
So, i ask: do you know any other way to fix the wisptis.exe problem? And why is that in my computer? Is it installed by the tablet itself or it comes via Adobe Acrobat reader??

There are free registry cleaners, so you don't have to pay for Registry Booster.

Try getting rid of that .exe and then running whatever tool installed it. I know some Adobe products install it.

wisptis.exe is a pen input device tool for the Microsoft Tablet PC Platform. "WISPTIS" stands for "Windows Ink Services Platform Tablet Input Subsystem". wisptis.exe is installed on your system when installing Microsoft Office 2003, an Adobe product, or Journal Viewer via Windows Update. You cannot get rid of wisptis.exe by renaming or deleting it: Windows File Protection will cause it to be reinstalled the next time you run Adobe Acrobat or Office 2003


Reinstall your tablet driver.

It is exactely what i have done, but it doesn't solve anything.
About those information i already know it (i remember the description, from here), the problem is if i can have a "freeware" solution.

I would recommend switching to a Wacom tablet, but you probably don't want to replace a perfectly-working tablet =/

Still, try uninstalling Acrobat Reader and reinstalling it, or it could be just a problem with running on Windows 7... in that case, look for an updated version of that driver for Windows 7 (note: most 32-bit drivers do NOT work in 64-bit Windows, AFAIK)

Actually, if you're going to reinstall Acrobat Reader why not install a different PDF viewer? Adobe's viewer is slow bloatware. I prefer SumatraPDF which is designed to be lightweight.

Uninstalling Acrobat doesn't remove wisptis.exe and i have Windows Vista.

Still, is it 32-bit or 64-bit Vista? And if you're still having trouble removing the file, try removing it in Safe Mode. I've had to do that to update system files before =/

Install and run CCleaner. There will be a big button called "Registry" (Basically a blue cube with smaller cubes coming out). Click the button that finds issues, then see if there's anything related to the tablet on there and fix them (or, as an added bonus, fix several more things there while you're at it).

I tried it out but when i link the tablet it doesn't work anyway: wisptis.exe attacks again.

Sounds like you need to get around windows file protection. Try the following to turn it off:

Try running SFC /PURGECACHE from a command prompt. This will clear what files windows protects.
If that doesn't work, try this:

Enable or Disable Windows File Protection.

Go to START–>RUN and type REGEDIT. This will open the registry editor. Find the following registry key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

Look for the key “SFCDisable” and double click on it.

Set the value to one of the following:

1 - disabled, prompt at boot to re-enable
2 - disabled at next boot only, no prompt to re-enable
4 - enabled, with popups disabled

ffffff9d - for completely disabled

0 - Enabled

or try searching google for something else that will disable windows file protection if this doesn't work.

Once you have windows file protection disabled, then go and delete wisptis.exe. It shouldn't complain that it is irremovable after that. If it still does, try deleing it with either "remove on reboot" or "killbox", both are free programs.

If i use the first solution i get this:
"To use a sfc tool, you must be an administrator running a console session."

For the second solution: I couldn't find SFCDisable, as seen here
Did i wrong something?

I didn't try out the third solution, for now.

I have another question: what is wisptis.exe for? I just understand it is for tablet input or whatever, but is that important if i want to use my tablet?

You have to run cmd as an Administrator. Find it in the start menu, right click, run as administrator.

My bad, I forgot that you are running vista. What I posted is what I do to bypass it on XP. Ok, on Vista, Windows File Protection is now Windows Resource Protection (WRP), and apparently it is more of a bitch to get around.

Here's a thread I found on google that tells how to get "full access" on vista. See if doing all of that works, and allows you to finally delete wisptis.exe.

Just pointing out that deleting wisptis may cause problems being a important windows file.

Just keep in mind that even if you do manage to do ANYTHING to this file, there's no guarantee that it will fix your problem. The problem is, its really the only clue we have as to why your tablet won't work, so its a place to start.

What I've been trying to say is that he needs to try replacing this file with another one to make sure it hasn't corrupted its self or something. :|
