This is a thread for posting about recent artists you discovered, songs you discovered that were good, or albums you just listened to and enjoyed for... whatever reason. Good or bad, new or old. Just whatever you just discovered and listened to.

I'll start.

t+pazolite - Unconnected.

Just released at C77, an incredible Touhou arrangement album with many of t+pazolite's strong points present. I love how he arranges Touhou songs. He doesn't simply transpose the notes to each song from start to finish, but instead arranges parts that work (see: 495, which only uses a bit from U.N. Owen Was Her? instead of the entire thing).

It has great songs. Unconnected. is absolutely awesome and is probably the best remix of Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye I've heard yet, with a great combo of リズナ's vocals (which I love) and t+pazolite's crazy and chaotic sounds. ALiCE'S COMMOTiON is a great track given it sounds like a REDALiCE track with a t+pazolite twist. Nitrx is fucking sick. Disconnected., however, takes a dramatic turn from the rest of the album. While the rest of the album tended to be more hard hitting, Disconnected. goes completely Silent Hill, and it sounds nothing like t+pazolite. Nothing at all.

Incredible album that I say surpasses Ultra Cute!?, both in song selection, remix variety, and the album art.

This song is so horrible yet so fucking hilarious. I can't stop listening to this because it is so dumb.

Hearing this at MAG-Fest was incredible. At first I thought it was the original, then the electro part came up. It was absolutely sick. In fact, all the new songs he played were sick upon playing them. Great release again from Renard.

Ok, that will work for now for me.

I am very happy. This is a lie.

So a few days ago I found about warinside.

BLANKFIELD's website

Basically all the songs are hardcore metal. So yeah. They remix Touhou and other games stuff.

Actually I had heard a few songs of The Edge of The Knife before, namely the Necrofantasia remix from there which is just amazing. They stay somewhat faithful to the original score, but do mix things up.

Fast Foward to End of East (released on C77) though is much, much better. The version of Last Remote there is hands down their best song.

Besides the two Touhou remix albums they have other songs in their site. For instance the Kirby remix I posted on the other thread, or a Super Mario World's castle remix which is absolutely a must listen.

The "trash can" part of the website has songs that most likely will be unfinished forever. Some of the ones there are unfortunately pretty good.

...that means nothing in this thread. Given what it does, it won't help at all with discovering new music or artists. AT ALL.

Anyway, just discovered Sabrepulse and how awesome he is. His good stuff is a mixture of chiptune and IDM, not to mention everything of his is available for FREE. You should all check out Chipbreak Wars. Quite a good album.

EDIT: should also mention this

This album freaking rules. This is how breakcore is: chaotic. Ole Olew Junkyard Remix has the craziest of samples and Black Flag is a fucking sick track.

I stumbled across him on Youtube. Granted, its all covers, but they are very good and well produced. The guitar work on these tracks is exquisite, backed up by some angry drumming. Awesome.
